It comes with the new Minelab scorpionarm rest, which was recently announced on the Manticore, the new Flagship coin and treasure machine. The new arm rest is more comfortable, durable and is simple to adjust, improving the detectorists experience. For those who don’t like longreads: Equinox 700 is the same Minelab Equinox 600, and Equinox 900 is Minelab Equinox 800 with some additions. The thing is that these metal detectors have such insignificant discrepancies (I’d say it’s rather minor) that there is no point in writing a review. The two machines are pretty similar. The main differences have been highlighted in bold for the Equinox 900. The short answer is yes, slightly. The 900 weighs in at 1.2kg. The device has a carbon fiber shaft with a new armrest. This is the only essential improvement, I must say. However, the old one wasn’t that bad; the new shaft is definitely better. Besides, now it is made of carbon fiber which makes it light weighted and more reliable.
