About this deal
We are happy to introduce You to our available products: 10 kW small wind turbines. We are also working on a number of new turbines (2 kW and 50 kW), and You can find their preliminary descriptions below. As a manufacturer of residential wind turbines and wind energy enthusiasts, we want everyone to own a small wind generator. However, if there is not enough space for a tower and You are thinking about installing a small wind turbine on the rood of Your house, then we strongly recommend You to forget that idea and install solar panels instead - and here is why:
Domestic wind turbines are on the rise. They can help cut down on bills, and they make guilt-free green energy. Plus, they’re often stunning to look at. Assuming a 50% export/50% usage rate for systems up to 5k, 20% export rate for a 10kW system, and 12.5% for a 15kW system. Find out more about full-size wind turbines and how they work, in our complete guide How does a home wind turbine work?
How much does a wind turbine cost?
turbine. The international standard defines it by the rotor swept area, but the more common definition is by the power rating (kW). This means if a property is surrounded by tall buildings, trees, or large hills, it won’t be suitable for a domestic wind turbine. The ideal location for a domestic wind turbine is an elevated and large open space, in a coastal or rural area, that has an average annual wind speed of 10 mph.
Obviously a wind turbine needs wind to generate the power, so if there is an insufficient supply in your area throughout the year, it’s not going to be very useful. As well as paying for the wind turbine itself, there are a number of other wind turbine costs you should budget for.
