The way I see it, this movie starts out a 7 or so, but slowly drags its way down to a 3 by the end, almost willfully. The beginning is interesting, there are hints of the crumbling relationship, hints of a new beginning, and a vague sense that something is wrong. The editing keeps throwing things at you with loud crashes and bangs so that you don't forget to be tense, I guess. This style of editing is really annoying more than anything, as it keeps reminding me I'm watching a movie rather than getting me invested in the damn thing. But it's a style and I'm used to it.

The Callers :HarperCollins Australia

Rachelle LeFevre is very good in the role as a displaced, recently divorced student in S. America wanting to make a new start and get away from abusive ex-husband. Enjoyed this. Really quite creepy. Rachelle is actually a better actress than i gave her credit for. She is very convincing as a recently divorced woman who has started over and starts to receive strange phone calls from a woman named Rose who may, or may not be from the past. When someone is talking and talking and talking to us and showing little sign of stopping we spend our time waiting to jump in and respond. During this waiting period we usually stop listening because our concentration is taken up with waiting for a ‘slot time’. If this is the case the conversation has suddenly become pointless! Do be aware that you may be missing key information. Originally intended for a theatrical release, the film was only shown at the 1987 Cannes Film Market and the 1987 MystiFest in Italy. On December 27, 1989, the film was finally released in the United States on videocassette by Trans World Entertainment. MGM released a manufactured-on-demand DVD-R of the film on March 15, 2011. [ citation needed] This movie is just weird for weird sake. At first, there is a strong buildup of tension between Malcolm McDowell and Madolyn Smith characters. Both characters are so suspicious and weird I'm not exactly sure who's the actual threat of this psychological thriller actually is.The movie's message is clear: if you ever get called by a suicidal loon from the past, don't prevent them from hanging themselves coz honestly, all that will do is bite you in the ass later. Callers can conjure anything out of thin air. But what if the things don’t come from nothing? What if they’re taken from… someone else? wallet η άδεια κυκλοφορίας του αυτοκινήτου και το διαβατήριο, ενώ έρχονται και ηλεκτρονικές κλήσεις»

Now I may be wrong, but in some scenes you can see a tank full of fish, and in others there aren't any. A reference to the former British male age of mandatory retirement – specifically being one year away from it.I am not allowed to tell him that I cannot help him, or that our time is up. It is one of, if not the most stressful part of my job. I'm so glad to see a such a novel (heh) concept so well executed. There's friendship, there's action, there's high stakes, there's twists and turns that are surprising but make sense. You love to see it, and I love to read it.
