I'm not the biggest fan of Boss pedals, but I do have a couple of favourites, and the CH-1 Chorus is definitely one of them. The CE-2w Waza Craft is handmade in Japan and features an updated CE-2 circuit as well as the chorus and vibrato modes from the original CE-1. This is a solid built and great chorus pedal, however, I already own the boss Ce5 chorus Ensemble pedal which is far superior. The Boss CH-1 Super Chorus is a great all-purpose chorus pedal thanks to it super clean and clear tone and wide frequency range.

The Boss Super Chorus didn’t shimmer enough, and affordable pedals like the Ammoon Nano Chorus or Musiclily Chorus just never quite fit well enough with the rest of my rig. With the RATE knob you can adjust the modulation speed of the chorus effect while the DEPTH gives you control over how deep the chorus effect goes. Overdrive is literally what you get when a tube is pushed beyond its voltage limits causing a clip in the top of the waveforms resulting in a slight warm, fat and sometimes, sizzly tone. With great sounding chorus, stereo outputs and great controls allowing you to create a wide range of chorus sounds, the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble is the ultimate chorus pedal when it comes to Boss compact effects pedals.
