When flying to Rome you will land at either Fiumicino Leonard da Vinci or Ciampino Airports. Fiumicino is the biggest of the two airports slightly further out of the city, both airports offer great transport links.

Either way, you’re probably hoping to cover as much of London as possible in the short time you have. Most guides out there tend to recommend London’s hidden gems, but forfeit the main attractions that define the city for what it is.Oxford Street is famous for being THE place to go in London to shop. Here, you can expect to see high street brands such as Zara, Topshop, and more, sprinkled in with a few of London’s homegrown shops, such as Hamleys toy store. While at Potsdamer Platz, do look out for the metal strip on the ground which demarcates where the Berlin Wall used to stand.

The Döner was first introduced by the Turkish immigrants in the late 60’s and is a spin off the traditional Turkish kebab. The dish is made of pita-style bread stuffed with meat and salad and will fill you up for hours. Nowadays there are many different versions of the Döner, including vegetarian options with Falafel or salad only. Hops & Barley is a craft beer bar that is known to produce great local craft beers and is a hot favourite location for the young (and young at heart) to hang out. There are usually 4 microbrew options and cider on tap. Prenzlauer Berg district 10. Eat a “Currywurst” An introductory WWII newsreel sets the stage. D-Day is fast approaching, but the exact date and designated invasion beaches are closely-held secrets. The British Isles are bulging with troops, ships and equipment. Tip: Berlin offers a big variety of open air festivals close to the Spree during summer. Have a look which festivals are on once you know your travel details.

Don’t linger too long at Oxford Street, because your next stop is Covent Garden. This is a gorgeous little space in the heart of the city with quaint little stores, restaurants, and cafes. Tip: Find one of the best Berliner Currywurst at ‘Konnopke’s’ in Prenzlauer Berg Kreuzberg District 11. Eat a “Döner” For me, a city trip wouldn’t be complete without trying out the local food of a country and just like the pasta in Italy, Berlin as well has its popular foods. And trust me this won’t disappoint. Potsdamer Platz used to be a wasteland where the Berlin Wall running right through it. Today, it is a bustling shopping and nightlife district. You can’t visit London without catching a show. London is well-known for being an epicentre for the arts and culture, bringing in performers from far and wide to its many acclaimed theatres and production companies. Because of this, it’s home to some of the best musicals, plays, and comedy shows the world has to offer.
