Villian(s) of the story: Marisa Friedman, CIA Operative who took a billion dollars from Montoya to bring down the adminstration and blame the Russians. Despite his resistance, Stone reaches out to his Camel Club to delve into the depths of the investigation.

I need characters that are plausible and believable enough to identify with, and when they start straying too far from the nature of folks in our culture, I can no longer identify with them. Oliver realizes they're going to need the help of the smartest crime solvers he knows: the other members of the Camel Club. He didn’t let age get the better of him, and he also didn’t really care about the fact that he upset a lot of important people. It also happens that after trying to avoid hurting his friends, he finally breaks down to Annabelle request and allows the Camel Club into the investigation.David published his first novel, Absolute Power, in 1996; the feature film adaptation followed, with Clint Eastwood as its director and star.

Faut Turkekul, an economist; Carme Escalante, a crippled Mexican refugee; John Kravitz, an arborist; George Sykes, National Park Services member; Judy Donohue, another Park Services member; Joe Knox, a ex-CIA member.b. Stone had taken out two prominent Americans to avenge the death of his wife and child, and also for destroying his life. With the British prime minister on hand for a state dinner, authorities first think it's a botched assassination attempt. David Baldacci is also the cofounder, along with his wife, of the Wish You Well Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting literacy efforts across America. Because Sebastian, though jaded and cynical, as literary lawyers are required to be, apparently still believes in justice, for which reason, accompanied by a bodyguard named Partner (“a hulking, heavily armed guy who wears black suits and takes me everywhere”), he finds himself in a podunk burg where a client is fighting for his life against the charge that he’s brutally murdered two little girls in a spectacularly gruesome crime. Oliver Stone once the country s most skilled assassin stands in front of the White House, perhaps for the last time.

Despite including characters from other novels, this is a standalone novel that doesn’t require prior knowledge, but because I was so thoroughly engrossed, I wanted to read more Baldacci and fully understand why he is such a best-selling author completely in line with Fleming, Maclean, and Ken Follett. He carries a gun, works out of his car, and sleeps in a different hotel room every week, precisely because he runs up against so many bad guys who mean him harm.
