Included also are recipes for a Gluten-Free and Egg-Free cake which can be tweaked with flavour and topping to suit.

Add all ingredients into a microwave-safe mug. I always recommend starting with a larger mug so you have enough room to mix all your ingredients and have enough room for the cake to rise. Since this is supposed to be a single serving dessert, the end result should only be about the size of an unfrosted cupcake. You can then replate the cake in a smaller mug, which is what I did here.i wasn't sure i was going to love this - i already have a perfect banana bread recipe and it sure doesn't have any golden raisins in it. but this one was good. before frosting:

definitely cook it longer than it says, though, because the pear releases juices as it cooks, so the cake surrounding the pear takes a while to become cakey. then top it with more ginger syrup and cocoa powder no mug cake in the history of the universe was ever eaten as rapidly as this one. holy moly-this is DELICIOUS! i want to make this every day of the week for the rest of my life. an apple a day, after all... but once you frost it and roll it in frosting and coconut and doll it up all nice, you'd never know how unstable and porous it is underneath no new cakes, but i added some pictures of mugs that were too problematic to use for this project, as promised (a long time ago, but whatever)** Are there Egg Substitutes for a Mug Cake or Meal? YES! I have an egg substitute chart you can use to enjoy mug cakes egg free!

Ingredients

or is it? it is NOT! once you get some chalk, it is the best mug ever, but totally not microwave-safe: You don't save much time. You still need to gather, then put away ingredients, and you still need to do dishes, although you don't need to wash anything large like a stand mixer or beaters. It just seems to me like a lot of work to get everything together, then put everything away and clean up, all for 2 tiny cakes.

I tried this recipe with some baking powder, and it does work and make it more fluffy, but personally I wanted a denser and more gooey cake. You can add in 1/2 tsp of baking powder, but its entirely optional. I used self raising flour as I preferred it to plain, and then thats enough raising agent for me. The measurements are a difficult thing I find because peoples versions of ‘one tablespoon’ can vary in weight SO VERY MUCH so I have put weights as well. 15g is typically a level tablespoon weight, so don’t do heaped.. it might not turn out as good! Flourless Almond Butter Cake | This flourless almond butter mug cake is just four ingredients and ready in minutes. It is fluffy, moist and you won’t believe it doesn’t contain any flour. I also have an easy Flourless Cashew Butter Mug Cake, too.Flourless Pumpkin Mug Cake | This gluten-free mug cake tastes just like my favorite pumpkin bread in a single-serving size. i am loopy with month-long sugar high, so lemme just say how much fun this project was, and i hope it was enjoyable for youuuu people, too, and that it inspires you to make many mug cakes of your own and share your pictures with me please!
