Dark Angels have a wide variety of tools available to them that live along side the core Index Space Marines, broadening an already diverse range with everything from Characters and Vehicles; to sidegrades of existing units and the wildly different Lion El’Jonson. If you looked at the Marines Index and said “where’s all the stuff?”, Dark Angels are for you.

Assault Squad: B Tier: Footslogging Assault Marines are actually interesting. What a world we live in! Given their unit ability, I think keeping all chainswords is the way to go, with perhaps a good weapon on the sergeant and maybe a couple of Eviscerators. Take as many plasma pistols as you are allowed though, and give that sarge a shield! Using a small brush, paint the metallic areas of the Land Speeder Vengeance with Leadbelcher. This includes the engines, weapons, and any other metallic details. Allow the paint to dry completely. Ancient in Terminator Armor: D Tier: He gives +1 to hit for units under starting strength, which doesn't always matter as most Terminator units have Fury of the First (or the equivalent ability baked into another ability). +1 to wound is nice though, and if you're not shooting/fighting the Oath of Moment target it matters more. I personally don't think he's worth the points; I'd rather just invest in a Deathwing Command Squad intead. The Land Speeder Tempest is unique for being fully enclosed, forgoing the Land Speeder's long-range patrol role to become a dedicated gunship. [1b] Hey I am a bigger Land Speeder that has a mean looking Plasma cannon thing. Plus a hype man that can shoot a Heavy Bolter or Assault Cannon. Oh I also really like gothic architecture so I have to add it to all my stuff. It is my thing and you have to accept it. I also have a brother that gives out cover to other Dark Angels. But that doesn’t matter too much because we are talking about how bad the Plasma brother is. Let’s Make the Gun GoodThe standard Land Speeder is used as a fast scouting and reconnaissance vehicle and as such is only lightly armed and armoured. The Land Speeder is armed with a single pintle-mounted Heavy Bolter that is operated by the vehicle's gunner. Incursors: A Tier: Taken in small units these guys provide some good utility. The haywire mine is a way to do some cheeky mortal wounds, especially to tough vehicles. They don't infiltrate anymore, but they do get the Scout rule for a pregame move. A good way to buff the rest of your army's shooting against a key enemy unit. Ravenwing Master-Crafted Land Speeder Sableclaw - The Ravenwing master-crafted Land Speeder known as Sableclaw is a unique variant of the Land Speeder used only by Master ( Captain) Sammael of the Dark Angels Chapter's 2nd Company, which is known as the Ravenwing. The Master of the Ravenwing's Land Speeder is heavily armed with twin Heavy Bolters and twin-linked Assault Cannons. In addition, this specialised pattern of Land Speeder is equipped with superior targeting equipment and a protective Void Shield generator. The Third Edition of the game was the first time that Land Speeders could be fielded in squadrons of up to three of the vehicles, although the Tornado and Typhoon variants could only be fielded as individual vehicles. With the release of the 4th Edition Space Marine Codex, players were allowed to field different Land Speeder variants in the same squadron.

I'll probably field it a few times as I don't play competitive. Like others have said, the Thunderstrike is the most appealing and is how I've assembled my first. Suppressor Squad: C Tier: These are a disruption unit more than a damage-dealing unit, but they aren't durable enough for the cost, and their effect isn't all that strong.

Although clunky when compared to xenos anti-gravity engines, the Imperium has made great use of Land's discovery, most notably in the Land Speeder that bears his name, and the new Imperial grav-tanks like the Primaris Space Marines' Repulsor that has recently been brought into service by the genius of Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl.
