Description

These richly pigmented, highly buildable blushes feature satin and shimmery shades. Yes, these blushes really are baked — each one has been sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles to give your skin a warm finish and a radiance that looks striking and natural. I’ve loved these duos since their initial release, so I was thrilled when the brand came out with this bright bubblegum colorway. This shade is fun and ideal for blush-forward makeup looks, and I love the versatility that the duo provides. You can use the powder or the cream alone, or layer them together to get a natural finish that wears well all day long. Often powders and creams don’t layer well together, but these absolutely do, which makes using the product easy. I appreciate that the cream formula isn’t overly emollient or too dry, which helps to create a naturally luminous finish on the skin. While I do find the powder to be a bit chalky, which hinders the blendability a bit, somehow it still looks really nice when blended onto the skin and especially when layered with the cream side.

We want to assure our readers that we still stand by our recommendations, which we do. It gives your skin the most beautiful peachy glow and many users claim it’s a total dupe for the more expensive NARS Orgasm blush. When doing the Milani baked blushes swatches, I wanted to show the difference of how the blushes look in natural, everyday light and in direct sunlight. If you can’t tell by now, I am a big fan of blush. This is my favorite category of makeup because it revives any flush that gets lost under foundation, and I love using it as a way to add that extra pop to my more fresh-faced makeup looks. In my opinion, blush has a way of making you look like you tried when you didn’t. However, not all blushes are created equal. I usually prefer cream blushes because they give me a natural finish, and in my experience, a good powder blush is harder to come by. Glide brush through color and lightly tap off excess powder. Lightly apply to cheeks, forehead, chin and/or nose and blend well for a soft glow.

I can’t get enough of this one for the summertime, as it’s the perfect blush/bronzer/highlighter combo with a beautiful blend of brown and peach tones. The most popular shade of Milani Baked Blush is hands-down Luminoso, and it’s the one universally flattering blush every gal needs in her makeup collection.

In-store selection can often be limited to only a few shades and I’ve found drugstores tend to be higher priced vs. purchasing online. How Does Milani Baked Blushes Perform? The Milani baked blush range consists mainly of shimmery blushes and has only two matte shades. The shimmery blushes are available in a range of colors from pink to coral to mauve to red. Dolce Pink falls in the pink category. For a while, I found powder blushes to be boring—a flat, matte wash of color on the cheeks wasn’t adding any excitement to my makeup routine. But then I discovered this blush formula last year and I fell madly in love with it, and ultimately rediscovered my appreciation for a good powder blush. It features the best parts of a powder and a cream—it’s easy to apply just like a powder, and it provides a glow to the skin just like a cream. In the pan, the baked formula appears incredibly shimmery, but once you apply it on the skin, it looks radiant and incredibly flattering. It’s quite pigmented, making it versatile among a wide range of skin tones, and I love that this particular rosy shade has a nice balance of warm and cool undertones which makes it pair well with any makeup look. Because it’s a little brighter/deeper in tone it might be better suited for medium to dark skin tones. The vibrant color of this blush is was initially drew me in, but the performance is what's completely blown me away. If you like matte powder blushes but you find that they can lean dry or chalky on the skin, I urge you to give this one a try. It's a talc-free formula that contains fermented arnica to reduce redness, as well as a blend of hydrating ingredients—like red raspberry extract, squalane and shea butter—to nourish the skin and create a creamy powder consistency. Although it's a true powder formula which is excellent for those with oily skin, the creaminess in the texture makes it really blendable and flattering on dry skin, too. It provides a natural finish, blends almost effortlessly, and is extremely long-wearing. I saw absolutely no color fading after wearing it for more than eight hours.

Dolce Pink gives you a barbie-doll pink if you’re looking for that kind of look. While Coralina is a bright golden orange that I’m sure would flatter morena skin!
