The part of the tripod that really helps with a faster setup is the ball-joint that has a 360 degree range. It’s easier to fine tune the angle of the projector compared to tripods that just tilt up and down and left to right.

A recent screening of the World War I movie ‘1917’ is a good example. During the movie, you could hear the faint buzzing from flies circling a dead horse blending seamlessly with footsteps and dialogue. I would expect that kind of audio from a theater grade setup.

There’s a battery onboard for that true portable projector experience, which lasts 2.5 hours at low brightness – just don’t expect much more than half that at full brightness.

Nebula Capsule Max review: wherever cinema

The processor appears to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, coupled with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMC storage. This is a fairly decent set of specs, which allows to perform most tasks with ease. On the connection front are Bluetooth 4.2 Dual Mode and WiFi 802.11b/g/n/ac (so up to WiFi 5, with support for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). I will have to use 3 adapters to get from USB-C powerbank output to the small DC input of the Capsule Max. With that said, what’s the difference between the Anker Nebula Capsule II and the Anker Nebula Capsule Max? Which one is the more advanced and expensive one? Which one is the cheaper yet decent one? Anker Nebula Capsule II The Maximum Android Experience: The Capsule Max offers better memory and computing power by having 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM working hand-in-hand with its Octacore Processor. Additionally, Android TV is a limited-service further throttled by Chromecast-style screen mirroring compared to the full Android 8.1 experience offered by the Max. Furthermore, Chromecast doesn’t support Netflix content. That supports my general rule of thumb with portable projectors: you get what you pay for. Liner Notes: Is the Nebula tripod worth it?Google Assistant can execute searches for movies (and will include results on your Plex server). You can also search for the schedule for next Red Sox game, or weather forecasts. By the way, before you even use any Anker projector for the first time, you definitely want to charge it up to 100 percent. The battery on both projectors typically last about 2 and a half to 3 hours, but you really need to charge the projector before the first time you use it or you won’t get the same result. Remote control Setting up the Capsule II is easy. It boasts a one-second autofocus feature, which, though it takes more than one second, is easy to manually adjust if needed. There’s no auto-keystone feature and no horizontal movement of the picture at all. You can still adjust the vertical plane, but it’s not the best system. Fortunately, the device is so small and easy to prop up that setting it up to project straight on in the first place is rarely much of a problem. Watch a Blu-ray film and you lose some detail, but the loss isn’t as noticeable as on the original Nebula Capsule, which had a lower 854 x 480 resolution and lower brightness at 100 lumens. As far as portable projectors go, the Capsule Max is very good. For me, the portability makes these Nebula capsule projectors well worth the price. And the autofocus, auto-keystone, and brighter image of the Max make that upgrade a worthwhile increase in price and product value.

For the 0.3-inches display the projector uses the DLP technology, which is notable for its high contrast, smoother projection and smaller footprint than LCD projectors. On the other hand, though, it requires more brightness to look the same, has poorer colours and is less efficient (produces more heat). It should be noted that many cinema projectors use this technology. When looking at the Nebula Capsule Max you wouldn’t say that it is a projector: it looks more like a fancy Bluetooth speaker. In fact it is a 150 × 80 mm (it is compact!) aluminium and plastic can with holes all around the lateral surface and controls on top. Design isn’t anything special, yet its simplicity makes it kinda attractive. It is built reasonably well, with no apparent flaws. The 737 g weight is also low enough for it to be portable without issues. Easy Set Up: Ready to use in less than a minute. Just unfold the tripod legs, mount your projector, and find the perfect angle. He also has a huge passion for journalism, has been a writer, editor, and journalist through a number of venues, and is a big fan of technology of all types, especially video and home kitchen tech! Navigating Android TV here works a treat, especially with the included remote control. The interface shows apps as a series of tiles to be scrolled through, which each app row throwing up recommended viewing content based on what you’ve watched previously. It moves smoothly, and the ability to jump straight into YouTube programming or buy a Google Play Movies title is incredibly handy. The Anker Nebula Capsule Max is a pint sized, Wi-Fi enabled portable projector capable of creating a 100″ picture with a 4-hour video playtime. Android 7.1: Run streaming and media apps flawlessly from this mini-projector. Seamlessly display content from Netflix, Youtube, and more on your mini projector for endless entertainment. You can get a maximum 100-inch screen by placing the projector 3.08m away from a surface; 80-inch at 2.46m; 60-inch at 1.73m; and 40-inch at 1.15m. That’s a decent enough throw ratio that you can usually get a big enough picture even when working in fairly confined spaces. Performance When outdoors you’ll need to wait until the sunsets to really enjoy the projector, but fire it up and it autofocuses and you’re ready to enjoy an outdoor cinema. The 100″ screen was filled up with a great looking image and I look forward to lazy summer evenings in the garden with this new gadget. Remote App Control

My question is: If it shows 5 different supported output specs on the powerbank (from 5V to 20V), how does the charging and charged devices define that 15V 3A is required? The extra loud audio allows you to immerse yourself in hi-fi audio, particularly with the device’s premium scan-speak transducers. You can even feel the bass with pulse-pounding vibrations for good measure.

I would personally use sideloading. I owned the Max and within minutes had apps not there in the list. @Shenoy has pointed out that the Play Store affords you a verified app. One thing that’s important to point out: you can watch Netflix on the Capsule II. But it takes a bit of work. Anker says that due to Netflix’s policies, the company only certifies devices with at least 1 million units in production. I have spent the past few months using the Nebula Capsule Max indoors, outdoors and all around. And I’ve been regularly using the Capsule II for close to a year.
