Of course, the obvious thing that stands out about this anime is...well, the animation. There's this almost painting-like style to it, with crayon-esque shooting stars, picturesque watercolor hillsides, luminous butterflies, swirly trees, and so on. Not only is everything lusciously animated, from character movement to the dazzling spectacles on display when the characters of the day come to terms with their problems, everything has its own unique texture, and not once does the world feel sterile or like a cardboard cut-out. Yoru no Kuni is a series about dreams, and I think in that aspect, it succeeds in creating a perfect, dream-like atmosphere, and the bright visuals don't so much dazzle you as they do careess your eyes with its storybook-like animation. The music is pretty good here as well. There isn't a lot of it, contributing to the series' emphasis on ambience and atmosphere, and the insert songs are all well-timed, well-sung, and are always saved for just the right moment, allowing for stronger impact and emotional catharsis when the characters resolve their issues. Ini Adalah Novel ke-4 karya Yoru Sumino yang terbit di Indonesia Foreshadowing: In the beginning, Tatara jokingly states that if Kumatetsu was chosen as the next Grandmaster, he would become a "God of tool". Come the climax, Kumatetsu decides to become a sword so Kyuuta/Ren can use to defend himself against Ichirouhiko. Kupikir udah aku lupakan, tapi pas baca buku ini, aku langsung ingat kejadian hari itu. Suasananya, cara dan ekspresi temanku yg bertanya kenapa aku ikut mengucilkan korban, dan alasan yg membuat X dikucilkan.... Maafkan aku.

Bittersweet Ending: Ichirouhiko is reunited with his adoptive family, and will presumably make peace with his origins. Kyuta/Ren decides to leave the magical realm for good and Kumatetsu willingly turned himself into a sword to save his surrogate son. Even so, the two will always be together, as Kumatetsu now lives inside of Kyuta as a God, plus Kyuta/Ren now has his relationships with his father and Kaede, so he won't be alone. There are reoccurring events of property destruction at the school during the course of the story. The baseball clubroom window is broken twice, and a classmate's shoes are shredded up. Midoriokawa makes a mention about Adachi's friend, Kasai, who she says "isn't a good person" when Adachi mentions the property destruction before disappearing. There's never any elaboration on this and leaves me wondering why it was even put in the story if it was never going to be resolved. Attempted by Kyuta at the end of the film. His final option to fight a berserk Ichirouhiko was to open his own void, absorbing Ichirouhiko in the process. He would then stab himself, thus taking both of their lives. However...All There in the Manual: The novelization, also written by Hosoda, explains a few details not revealed in the movie, including the reason why Ren’s parents divorced. According to Ren’s perspective, his uncle (from his mother’s side of the family) disapproved of Ren’s mother’s marriage to Ren’s father, so he showed up at their apartment sometime before the events of the movie with a lawyer and forced them to separate. “It probably had something to do with the fact that I was ‘the only boy in the family and the precious future head of the house,’” Ren states.

Irony: When he first enters the beast world, an overwhelmed Ren runs about on fours in a panic. It doesn't get anymore ironic than a human boy running about on all fours like a critter, whilst in a world full of anthropomorphic animals on two legs. Nah loh? I think, Adachi feels sorry for Yuno in his deep heart, but he didn't do any action to stop the bullying and that guilty feeling is the reason why he starts to become a monster at night. The film also stars Suzu Hirose as Kaede, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Iōzen, Mamoru Miyano as Ichirōhiko, Kappei Yamaguchi as Jirōmaru, Keishi Nagatsuka and Kumiko Asō as Ren's parents, Haru Kuroki as the younger Ichirōhiko, Sumire Morohoshi as Chiko, Momoka Ōno as the younger Jirōmaru, Masahiko Tsugawa as Sōshi, Lily Franky as Hyakushūbō and Yo Oizumi as Tatara.
