One last thing though: I can't believe Fragrantica has a "leather" accord listed higher than the "sweet" accord for this. The leather, the warmth of the spices and the amber notes in the drydown mix even better and better, it's just can stop getting better. It’s a still a beast just like the original bottle I had in 2016 so not sure about people complaining about reformulation if they even did that. i will be definitely recommending this to everybody who asks for good fragrances, as someone with a sensitive nose and whose mom also has one i approve.Crafted as a statement bottle with a unique, rounded-square shape, the new ARMANI CODE bottle reimagines the design of the original fragrance. I love amber and tonka bean and this one really prominent on both, plus the leather that projects really well on colder weather. It doesn’t perform too well, with only about an hour of projection, and about 4-5 hours on skin (about 5-6 sprays).

Has a powdery vanilla that comes through more as it dries and is very smooth around the edges and is very pleasant but still potent.Here I'm getting very strong Ambroxan, which is an interesting contrast to the warm notes on top of it. If you would spray 5-8 sprays of AC Profumo then you use 12-16 sprays of Mandarina Duck Black and nobody would know the difference. I do prefer Absolu however as it is more sensual mature and suitable for romantic settings but that takes nothing away from how gorgeous this scent is. Whoever is on here saying”it doesn’t smell like the original” or “it’s weak” needs to either stop leaving fake reviews, or, give their head a wobble.

Armani Code Parfum opens up with a bergamot heavy citric open but you also get the velvety iris seeping in from the mid. Deeper, richer and warmer than the original, this aftershave for him combines notes of amber, mandarin, orange blossom and benzoin. Havent tried the new edt version yet i feel like i have to get this fragrance but i havent decide wich one get next this or two other french designer fragrance or this or edp version.Creating an armor wall of sorts that I can tell floats and holds it's place at least a few feet from me. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. i put it on a blotter and came back the next morning, and interestingly, there are both rectified cade essential oil (smoke) and cypriol oil in this--neither of which are listed. But you always think that probably this newly discovered fragrance wouldn't fit some situatiations you'd like it to fit. One of the best fragrances I’ve smelled, I don’t know what it is (tbh it’s probably the iris) but I’m obsessed with it.

To me this avoids the two typical iris associations of either soap or make-up, instead landing on a kind of creamy freshness, like you've rubbed yourself with a fancy cream or lotion as well as perfuming yourself. If you want something that will work from 7am in the office to 7pm in the after hours catching a drink or two with work colleagues, this will do it nicely. A very uninpiring and bland release, aiming to combine the freshness of bergamot, with the richness of Iris and topping it off with some Tonka sweetness. I’m too old for that, but I’ll tell you I sure do enjoy wearing this casually during the winter and I’m awfully sad it’s discontinued (although still widely available).I admit to being a performance hog and this, even though not a heavy gourmand or oud heavy based fragrance.
