The Boss GE-7 Equalizer pedal is a great, compact EQ pedal with seven bands of adjustable equaliser sliders. These frequencies can be altered by +/- 15 dB per band which allows a broad range of tonal possibilities, no matter if your guitar’s clean or distorted. My only grumble is that it's a little annoying that the inidividual band faders cannot somehow be locked in place, although there are very few problem in this world that cannot be solved with gaffer tape. The only downside is that the higher gain settings can be quite noisy, but this is not a significant issue as boosting a single frequency by even 3dB will produce a very pronounced change in tone.
