About this deal

This was so beautifully written, a no frills real to life raw romance book at its best without any over the top drama, the feels and the roller coaster of emotions were felt throughout. But this book just kept on repeating this word over and over that I could not focus on the romance because I'm constantly made aware of how “it's not grooming because blah, blah, blah”. He did however overcame this part of his life, but not before his sister disappeared at sixteen without a word, to Jude or any other family member. But when she meets an older guy that goes out of his way to help her, life as she knows it is about to change completely.

But not a muscular, inked-up, sandalwood-scented-aftershave-wearing grown man with hands the size of my head. Then there is Skyler, who is bullied at school but always sticks up for herself, she has a fire and wit, which I absoulty loved, not to mention a terrible home life that she hides from everyone. Even though she hasn’t known Jude for very long, there is a building trust that she is coming to have faith in. Mine has been okay, nothing particularly special happened so I spent most of it reading…hence why I need to do multiple reviews a week now. But unfortunately after the 50% mark, it spent a lot of time convincing me that this age gap didn’t make sense.I am all for books dealing with real issues, and adding clear warnings these issues are going to be dealt with and well represented, which they were, but she added SO MANY of them that I felt like I was reading a hypochondriacs' diary. Jude is the furthest thing from creepy and due to Skylar’s upbringing she’s more mature than most her age, so this really worked for me!

Unauthorized duplication, distribution or exhibit may result in civil liability and criminal prosecution. I think the reason I chose this book was that it wasn’t part of a series but also this book has been the most raved about. She makes the best out of the crappy hand she's been dealt, but luck has never really been on her side. Age gap for me can be a tricky one, because when you have a pretty young heroine, there's a line where it can skate on the line of.We had a lot in common—like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars, and our painful pasts that made us leery of love and relationships.

Jude and Skylar’s love story is sweet and very sensual, and is great for readers who want to read an age gap but without any taboo factor. She looks magical and beautiful and she’s looking at me like she’s making a thousand wishes and every single one of them includes me. I loved the subplots in this book, they balanced the main age-gap romance plot out really well and just made everything feel so realistic – which is one of the amazing things about this book, the ups and down and imperfect nature of their relationship even during the highs. One day, unable to concentrate on the dance routine she was practicing, Masha leaves the dance studio to find Bryan outside ready to propose to her as he changed his mind.

Born and raised in New Jersey, she now lives in New Hampshire with her husband and a multitude of pets. The mean girl told her: “My older cousin went to school with your husband,” Paige whispers from her seat.sometimes i want to jump out of a plate glass window, but never more than when a book has great bones but the execution is all gristle. A sassy Damsel in distress- Skylar Timmins is stranded when her Vette-steed dies on her and in steps to save her is her Knight in Transportational Armour- Jude "Lucky"Lucketti. As an avid romance readers, I can't say I remember every book I read, but somehow, each Carian Cole book I've read, does.
