This is a gorgeous fragrance on those it suits and who can fully appreciate its delicate, prismatic beauty. When the creamy and waxy elements are absent because the florals are constructed, you get Matisse rather than Maxfield Parrish. The hyacinth, bergamot, gardenia, and honeysuckle are most prominent to me, with the musk and amber barreling through the middle notes after an hour or so. Beyond Paradise is a delicately balanced blend of tropical wetness, zesty freshness and a burst of floralcy.
