Description

Both portable and packed with features, the Wireless Chronograph communicates via Bluetooth to your smartphone. The original FX Chronograph changed airguns by providing the most important tool a modern shooter must have, in a compact, portable unit. Mine gives spurious answers on my indoor range - perhaps it's because there are lots of metal objects on the range to confuse it? It provides an instant feedback velocity reading, without the need to look away from your scope – as the FX Chronograph Display is mounted either under the scope on the FX Impact, or on the side accessory rail on other rifles using a picatinny adapter. On their flagship guns, the Impact and Crown, expert users can tune every aspect of the pellet’s internal ballistics for the optimal combination of velocity, energy, consistency and stability.

All depends where about you fit it to your barrel, to far forward may give you under power to far back might give you higher readings, or the other way round . I bought a Combro years ago and worried about it moving on the barrel of my springer - that product has no choice except to time the passing of the pellet very close to the muzzle - at the time of high recoil I'd expect. Nothing to set up apart from your phone enter the type of gun projectile weight and calibre and away you go.There is an inherent issue with all Radar chrono's - and it's the fact that they cannot detect a pellet in flight until it's a few yards away from the barrel - it could be as much as 10 yards before it sees the pellet. The centre fire capable chronogaph not only records and logs your strings, but also gives Ballistic Calculations and data to help you improve your loads / tune to gain a greater understanding of how your setup will perform in a real world environment. Has anyone noticed an issue with the FX Radar that doesn't pick up the pellet travel speed when shooting in the summer sun and the black box gets hot?

it was an interesting project for a couple of weeks and it’s not been out since to temperamental to trust when about to go into a competition.Very easy to setup and use but lack of printed instructions makes it a little difficult to figure out setting up shot strings and its easy to inadvertently position under the barrel facing the wrong way. Configure and use the FX Chronograph as a stand alone or connect it to your phone / tablet for the ultimate in control and versitility. As it happens, just prior to publication, FX have released an update that offers a more intuitive means of accessing gun profiles, velocity information in all units of measurement, and hurrah; the Max/Min/Av velocity and ES/SD figures.

I used mine mounted to the barrel of an Supersport, and a Hatsan 900, and got fairly consistant readings from both. I know what you are going to say move the chrony up and down the barrel until it reads constantly but it doesn't. Some loved it, some hated it, some had a go at me for not comparing the new FX Chronograph to any other chronograph, thus here it is, my new video doing exactly what was asked for. On first opening, it takes you through a quick-start guide and prompts you to register the device for warranty and upgrade access. I dont feel the FX quiet has this nailed yet and if I bought doppler, it would be labradar as I shoot powder too.I have watched a few videos and about 2 inch from the end seems about what most people prefer so i stick with that.

Hopefully, future updates will address the other items on my list, as well as adding an interface for a weather station and ballistic apps, although in this regard I hear that FX are promising to add their own ballistic calculator within the Radar app. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .The final point I made was that put very simply, the Combro will stay still because it is not firmly attached to the rifle - it can slide along the barrel, and will slide along the barrel. You still need to use the existing Chronograph barrel mount that comes with your Chronograph and elastic bands.
