I purchased this particular kit for my son having had the benefit of many, many, delicious curries and side dishes from a kit I purchased for my partner some time ago. We have then taken that experience and devised these sets of Legend Blends so you can make delicious, exciting and authentic food from the comfort of your home!

Brilliant, I've used the Spicery for years now and have never had a bad word to say about their products or service. The curries are AMAZING, the recipes are easy to follow and everything has a really well-presented and nice feel to it. They also all have a heat rating, a serving number, prep time and cook time, so you can properly organise the times you will start each dish.

Got the book How to be a Curry Legend as a thank you gift and made the prawn Dhansak with Jeera rice and chilli garlic chutney straight away - the smells emanating even just from opening the spice tins was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! At the beginning of the book there are various suggested menus of different mains and sides to put together (Eg: Summer, Winter, Vegetarian, East, Cooking to Impress) if you don't know what would constitute a good meal. Our latest purchase was a re-fill of the four curry blends which go with Spicery's Curry Legend cook book.

My teenage son and I managed to make the best curry I’ve ever had using the recipes and the spices with this book, it’s that good. I'm 18 and to be honest I've barely cooked food from scratch in my life (Thanks mum), yet was able to make some fantastic meals using this kit. Started by passionate chef James Ransome from his own home in 2005, The Spicery first sold its super-fresh spices and recipe blends on market stalls and James’ hard work soon paid off.

Finally the Jeera blend, this is a mixture of cumin, brown mustard, nigella seeds and fenugreek seeds. Will be great for holding all the monthly spice recipes and extra info plus giving the cook book a home. Next is the Methi Blend, this is a fragrant spice full of aroma and brings lovely aromatic oils to the meal. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I highly recommend this kit as either a present or for someone who wants to make a start in cooking curries.
