A spicy, woody, smokey fragrance, definitely masculine, but with all Joop's they tend to become sweet. I can’t say I liked it really and the drydown got a little worse but in creativity terms so much more imaginative than the current glut of similar smush. Because he believes in himself and pursues his own passions, he can shed his ego to share time, trust and complicity with the people he loves. To me, it renders aromas of pepper, tobacco, leather, ginger, rum and incense that have all been exquisitely blended together to form a masterpiece, indeed this has to be a new masterpiece from the House of Joop!

The face of the campaign is model Francisco Lachowski, along with his wife Jessieann Gravel Lachowski. Homme Absolute has to be the quintessential Joop, it is an extremely well-crafted fragrance that hits. Many products with the Premium Beauty badge are also used by professionals in salons and spas but are designed and available for home use.

I found the opening to be a dry, spicy resinous feel with a nearly rubbery texture, getting sweeter hints and more saturated by a ‘sexy’ Tonka accord.

The Chypre fragrance family is characterised by a fine fragrance that particularly confident women appreciate. Very dark and mysterious, not for everyone, smells like a roughly done or an incomplete niche fragrance. Plenty more "Absolute" woody-leathery-boozy fragrances out there that really do hit the mark and stay on your skin until you have to wash them off.

Imagine the specks in vanilla bean paste aren't actually ground up vanilla pods, but black peppercorns.
