Im not an analogue snob and digital tech is amazing but i think im happier with analogue preamp and i just plain prefer the sound from a real guitar cab to frfr. Once upon a time I never imagined I'd say this, but it's so close to an AC30 and there's such a wide variety of tones available that I don't miss the amp at all. The protection diodes are there, even if the opamp are now TL064 instead of static-sensitive rail-to-rail CMOS devices. Edit: I did throw away my 1980ish Ovation Matrix after it served as a guitar for 15+ years and another 20 as a flower planter in my yard - but it did not have electronics.

LP provides you with a more precise rendition of your sound with a slight coloration of your tone, while HP delivers increased distortion and low end, beefing up your sound for a more “British” character. The straight 6 is still a light crunch and doesn’t get clean, while the BC2 is indeed underwhelming to me.
