About this deal

This WCE-2210 hand crimp tool has a ratchet release, three crimping nests (AWG 22-16, AWG 16-14 and AWG 12-10) contact positioning and precisely ground profiles. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Application Facilities] Used to IDE Power, Duet 2, PCIE, SATA, Molex, FPV, EPS, ATX, FPV, FPV, drones, 3D printers, and radio-controlled servos. The JST VH terminals as shipped need the PA21 because the wings of the crimp pins that go over the insulation are long, which needs the different shape and larger die of the PA21. They give a perfect crimp by firstly shaping and crimping the terminal on the outer wire casing and then with a second action, secure the inner wire to the front of the terminal.

I've found the PA21 can be used on a VERY broad variety of sizes of pins by using the above four step process. I liked the IWISS tool so I purchased their PEX pipe crimp tool, another winner, I can get into areas my other tools can’t. Withdrawal of consent has no bearing on the legitimacy of processing that was performed prior to the withdrawal. You can see that the strands of the wire are under the newly folded wings… and the outer wings are still open. When the finished crimp is ejected, i inevitably have a neat, double roll crimp one on the wires, and a bigger double roll crimp on the insulation. The pre-stripped wire is then inserted into the terminal until it butts against the wire stop, the hand tool can then be closed until the ratchet releases. The crimps are a bit hard to make and there is this inherent assumption everywhere that you should have just “known” how to do this. The cheaper ones didn’t even have a forming/dimpling bump in the top of the jaw as shown in the pictures above, where the terminals are formed to curl back down and into or across the wire being crimped. The PA21 is also OK for the Molex KK connectors, but not for smaller ones such as JST PH (the PA09 does those). Major advantage is that because the conductor crimp and the insulation crimp are separate operations you can choose the best dye to keep the insulation crimp small so as to easily fit into the receptacle unlike the double crimp pliers that are more common.

Start in the narrowest slot that will accommodate the "wings" that stick up from the bare-wire spot on the connector. I have been using MOLEX, Dupont, and JST-VH pins for a long while for connections on Duet 2 and 3 as well as custom cables for PC enthusiasts. I will say with some confidence that the PA21 covers a lot more ground than a 4 slot with stepped slots (I have several of those as well). When you need to crimp a single pin, especially if that's new - unknown pin, and especially to "not the default size" wire PA09/20/21 are indispensable. I have used the bigger tool for a number of years, and found that the best way to set up a crimp is to place the empty connector into the ralative position in the jaw, correctly positioned so that the two sets of prongs are properly placed in the positions where they will roll. Now, move to the next narrower slot (from the original bare wire slot) and do a second bare-wire crimp. I get perfect results every time on my Futaba servo plugs, but I believe these are are suitable for mobile phones and computers too, as they crimp from 1mm. This hand crimp tool features a user friendly flap style locator which ensures the terminal is accurately positioned during the crimping process.
