As we all spend way too much time sitting at a desk, in front of screens for our jobs, this can take a toll on the body. Coding on Kinesis was just such a pain in terms of usual keys - braces et all: weird, up down arrows: weird.

But for most of us, we will be getting a board that is not hotswap and comes with tactile Brown switches. Yes, it's not as easy as SmartSet to configure; however, it takes a couple of docs to read to understand what's happening.It has true tenting, and the concave nature of the pieces means you can comfortably rest your palms on the outside and only move your fingers. It's mostly a matter of discipline to not run back to what you're comfortable with to get used to unusual layouts. You press Mod + Hotkey 1 or Mod + Hotkey 3 keys, which mounts the halves and puts the keyboard into Bootloader mode. And, for now at least, while this board might not be perfect, if I was talking just hardware, this would probably take the crown as the best physical form for me. The difficulty comes from manufacturing such an oddly-shaped case, and how the printed circuit board (PCB) has to bend to accommodate the concavity. The way many of these keyboards work with layering makes it a functional requirement rather than a choice. That said, I loved the keyboardio so much that I recently received the updated model 100, and love it more than the original.
