That is, until she meets Great-Gran - a member of the new family who is even more stubborn than she is . This accessible, perfectly-observed story of divorce and life as a stepchild combines a big central theme with a short and easy text. Jak se s tou prababičkou něco stalo a jak to Sam oznámil Líze, tak jsem si už fakt myslela, že umře, když se na to Líza i ptala, ale nakonec natěstí ne, takže jsem si hodně oddechla. i'd have loved for more insight into lizzie's silence as a trauma response and how her gran helps her through it!Jacqueline Wilson has a way of writing that is comfortable and encouraging, whilst addressing needs that children are facing as they grow up. Lizzie, using Great-Gran's phrases and back-chats, manages to snap Great-Gran out of her ill trance. She’s completely fed up with having to join a new family, and nothing can convince her to speak to them.

The story Lizzie Zipmouth is one of the shorter Wilson books I have read, the story tackles the issue of becoming a step-family and the feelings that Lizzie feels as she gives up the familiar world she lives in, to move in with her mother’s partner and his children.sebagai ungkapan kekesalan dan ketidaksetujuan yang tak mampu dilontarkan, juga akan rasa ketidakpercayaan na terhadap ketulusan hati lelaki yang manjadi kekasih ibu na, lizzie mengambil keputusan untuk membisu. Double Act won the prestigious Smarties Medal and the Children’s Book Award as well as being highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. Illustrations throughout the book are helpful to emphasize main points in the story and for younger children reading it who may struggle with harder words. She becomes so fed up that she refuses to talk to anyone and no matter how nice people are to her, she still doesn't talk, until she meets her new great-gran.

Jadi ingat, duluuuu, kalo mutung karena menginginkan sesuatu, aku selalu mengunci mulutku rapat2, istilah ibuku, aku lagi puasa ngomong. lizzies mom gets married to a bloke lizzie does not like and does not make a good impression so she decides not to tal any more will she ever talk?

But Lizzie might be able to find her voice again after bonding with her initially-strict step-great-grandmother, who owns a huge doll collection. And then the grab has a stroke and she has to learn to talk and walk again and Lizzy helps her get better and its great and you guys should get this book! I feel the nature of the book means that it is more suitable for slighter younger children than some of her other books, so I feel a recommend age of 7-9 years is appropriate.
