If you can forgive the author for her annoying feminists comments and the superhero-tale she spins around her self-invented crush Ryan, you'll find a classic, well written mystery novel with a good portion of history and some nicely developing characters. The Cove" (the first book in her new Summer Suspense Mysteries series) was released in 2021 and followed up by "The Creek" in 2022. With Jack Lowerson finally back from sick leave the team are all back together and you can really see that they are more than work colleagues and consider themselves family and when one of their own appears to be under attack they work twice as hard to prove their innocence.I enjoyed this book, having read the previous 2 but think I would have found it difficult if I had not read the previous 2.
