About this deal

She decides to show up at their charity fundraiser and that manages to earn her forgiveness immediately. Thus, they break up because Ben has broken Teddy’s trust (fair enough), but there’s hardly mention of how badly Teddy had been treating Ben up to this point. Teddy, having seen this, mutually comes out to Arthur, even as his mother (and Arthur’s daughter) forbids he sees his grandfather again. In conclusion, by writing this review I have talked myself down from giving this book 2 stars, and now I’m rating it just the one. excellently well thought out family and friendship dynamics and a bit of a subversion of expectations when it comes to happy endings.

Please ensure that book(s) are sent back unread, in the original packaging and your dispatch note is included. It's also perfectly paced - I didn't feel bored at all while reading it, and every part seemed to move the story forward. I loved the love throughout the book - not just the romantic kind but through friendship, sibling and family love too. But why can't you be happy that your grandfather, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, colleague, friend [insert relation here] is happy, even if they're happiness comes from another grandfather, father, son etc etc? And Arthur, much more nice than I would be about it, is willing just to wait for her to come around and forgive him!The bond between Arthur and Teddy is something that stands out in the book, making their stories well-connected rather than two different elements. Despite the story being a little twee, I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it if you're looking for a comforting read that will tug at your heartstrings. Wir alle brauchen eine Madeleine in unserem Leben - eine Person, die immer zu uns hält und immer an uns glaubt, egal was kommt.

Arthur and Madeline’s relationship was beautiful, and I found myself wishing that all of Arthur And Teddy Are Coming Out was about them. year-old Arthur Edwards has had to live his whole life a lie, but he’s decided that it’s time to change that fact. Along with his coming-out journey (which inexplicably takes place mostly in the national media) there's also his grandson Teddy who ends up in a love triangle with his best friend and boyfriend. Und dabei sind es gar nicht unbedingt die romantischen Beziehungen, die mich hier in ihren Bann gezogen haben, sondern eher die familiären und freundschaftlichen. Arthur and Teddy Are Coming Out is a feel good novel about a man and his grandson both telling their family that they are gay.I really enjoyed this book it was so easy to read and I think it will appeal to the younger readers because it’s got a modern vibe too it.

This story definitely put a HUGE smile on my face and I predict it’s going to be one of the best books of 2023! He shows that life begins at whatever age the individual chooses; that we are responsible for our own happiness and that being old doesn’t mean that life is over.It was quick and easy to read, I enjoyed that it portrayed the older generation as people who still aimed to live life to the fullest and I love the message that it is never too late to chase your desires and dreams. Deshalb würde ich das Buch übrigens auch allen Menschen empfehlen, die sich nicht als queer identifizieren, aber sich vielleicht mehr damit beschäftigen möchten, wie das Leben als queere Person unter anderem aussehen kann. To me, “Arthur and Teddy are Coming Out” is marketed as this lighthearted, heartwarming little book about a grandpa and a grandson both coming out to their family members as being gay.
