Description

We mainly cover Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, Warmachine, Hordes, X-Wing, Infinity, Horus Heresy, and Star Wars Armada. The brickwork is a bit flat for our tastes but there is enough detail around it to make it look realistic.

This kit is made in China so the material is slightly different than what you see in plastic multi-part kits.Really pleased with how these turned out, they definitely look better in an off white colour than the usual grey that everyone uses for ruins. The longer sections of ruined wall can be joined together to make a single, longer section, the whole piece bedecked with detailed Sigmarite iconography, and the entire set is push-fit – no glue is required to assemble, meaning you can have this set on your gaming table almost immediately!

He is known for bold colour schemes and sharp edge highlights, which he paints with typical German perfectionism (one of the reason he is such a notoriously slow painter). These sets are also compatible with the Azyrite Ruins kit, giving you limitless possibilities when building your scenery . Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. For the silver metallics like the chains and cages, I basecoated them with Leadbelcher before washing them with Basilicanum Grey contrast paint to give them a dark and aged appearance. Alongside the Daughters of Khaine releases, there are also some terrain options that have been released for Age of Sigmar.

This is gone over with a wash of brown-black mud colour (my own concoction) and then drybrushing with kislev flesh. This is doused down with a slightly darker ink before a little bit of drybrushing to help out with the details. As it’s fairly similar and a certain Youtube painters bang on about it I decided to get some Vallejo Model Colour Pale Sand.It makes 3 sections of ruins, 2 of which feature raised floor sections, a corner piece, a broken pillar, and includes a padlocked chest. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. I chose a very effective approach for painting the stonework: I sprayed everything black, then added a zenithal highlight, not with an airbrush, but dark grey spray from Vallejo.

Included in the set: 6 large ruined walls; 2 small ruined walls; 2 padlocked grills; 2 padlocked chests. First of all, I should probably get my Blightkings painted so that I have some Age of Sigmar miniatures to go with my Age of Sigmar terrain. I just could not get the two halves to sit flush and I had to take the clippers to where it joins to the building to get it looking presentable. With that in mind, I gave them and the bell a couple of thin coats of Scale 75 Dwarven Gold before washing them with Army Painter Strong Tone.

Using high-quality printed terrain, combined with GW models from the Azyrite set, this set is perfect for adding some vibrancy and wildness to your wargames. When the Azyrite ruins came out, I knew that I wanted to purchase a set to paint up for my terrain collection as they looked really nice on the internet and I thought that they could readily fit in to a 40k game, as well as Age of Sigmar.
