About this deal
Never would have thought of that but now that someone mentions it, I start to imagine and even feel similarity of some kind.
By now I know this drydown progression inside out: first this somewhat artificial but nice cherry of one of those cheap little children's cherry lollies (who actually says "artificiality" is negative? Top notes are Lavender and Bergamot; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Rose and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Cedar, Oakmoss and Musk.Bogart (Signature) - for me, this is a soapy irish spring smell with the sweetness of an 80's aromatic fougere. I wish it had a small amount of the creaminess that Paco has, but that is outweighed by the spice and sharp/hard hitting aromatic notes. Puts me firstly in an outdoorsy mood and then the soapy herby drydown emirates a calmness that's sublime.
The only thing I don't like about this fragrance is the Rose note, I find it makes it cloying and nauseating at times. Redolent of green Palmolive soap (not Irish Spring-like to my nose); citric tartness for the initial 30 minutes, followed by an equally brief floral presence with only Lavender remaining for the duration; medicinal, dark and dry; Cloves subtly hidden behind a rather peppery Nutmeg whilst Rosemary is ever present, Pine resin, thick leather gardening gloves, Cedar wood pencil shavings, cigar-like tobacco, with Birch tar and Oak Moss in sheer abundance. i was moaning about jaguar for men yesterday saying its too light and dry but nothing is really there . It's like a fresher take on the classic masculine fragrance known as Quorum, and has 0 sweetness to it whatsoever (leans extremely masculine and somewhat old-school).Yes some gourmand aspects but gosh it's not natural at all, like the cheapest metallic unhealthiest doughnut out there.
