About this deal

For example, if someone uses an action (not the dread raining fire-goats card), but say the Russian Goatlette, if someone plays Escape Goat, does that just apply to him/her, or does it stop the action? The premise of the game is that you are collecting sets of like goats (herds) in your stack by putting matching cards from your hand (or from your hand and the top discarded card) onto the top of your stack.

Only so many people can play and one time so sometimes we play two people to a tam to get more players in.BECOME THE GOAT LORD: The GOAL of this hilariously strategic card game is to become Lord of the Goats! Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

It’s all a matter of whether you want to play a game with action cards and cute and funny art work or a more streamlined similar mechanic game like Cover Your Assets. So if you steal a big pile and succeed in holding on to it for an entire round, you can play a new stack on top and protect it. If you do not take it too seriously, small disagreements about the rules will not lead to hurt feelings. Are you willing to battle with your friends, hurt feelings, and play aggressively to become the Lord of the Goats? Everything gets goat crazy when you attack opponents by dueling for their top GOAT Stack to beat your lowly goat friends. If you’re looking for hilarious card games that will make everyone laugh then you’ve landed on the jack-pot. Knowing how to play your cards, when to hold 'em, and who to attack greatly affect how many points you end up when the last goat is played. If you’re looking for hilarious card games that will make everyone laugh then you’ve landed on the jack-pot!

I only took off one star for this (when normally it would be at least two stars off) because this is clearly supposed to be a silly game. Take top card and place it face up; this will act as the start if the discard pile (A wild cannot start it). It's perfect for any family game night, party game, thanksgiving games, christmas party games, teen games and more! I’ve bought four copies of Goat Lords and the expansion after giving away our other copies to two teen girls in college, a couple in their late 20s, and my in-laws who are in their late 70s and play card games with other elderly couples in their building. The basic premise is players try to acquire a stack of cards consisting of matching goats, each of which is worth from five to fifty points.I’m in no way shape or form related to nor do I know the creator of this game or anyone at Gatwick Games. Stacking Tip: Stack the first pair vertical, then the next horizontal, then alternating, keeping the corners aligned in an 'L' shape. Each player adds up the total value of their herd by counting the points of each goat in their hand.

Better, play a couple of hands with another, like-minded gamer and develop the table rules in advance so that you can share with your other players as you explain the game. I’m not sure why some of the 1-3 Star reviews had issues with the rules as they are pretty straight forward and the action cards are self explanatory. There were also some 1-2 star reviews from people saying Goat Lords is a blatant rip off of Uncle Becks Cover Your Assets but I don’t agree. Also, if you do make good use of the rotate card, you can then play a new pair of goats on top, meaning the big stack you just stole cannot be easily stolen from you.
