I am detecting a wonderfully blended, ooey-gooey fruity patchouli mix, in an extremely similar vein to Angel. I think this fragrance falls short mainly because the orange blossom conflicts with other floral notes at the top.

Homme bombards the senses with a syrupy, cloying cloud that lingers excessively, refusing to fade into anything remotely tolerable. Michel Almairac certainly worked on some big mens fragrances with notes that would have been quite brave and daring for their original release years. The Joop Homme Eau de Parfum opens with notes of cinnamon, perfectly complemented by hazelnut with fresh, citrusy undertones of bergamot.It's entirely unique for a masculine targeted fragrance, and a 90s classic with super fun memories of going to sweaty dance clubs and euro cafe bars in my prime - Y2K. Apparently it's difficult to work with this ingredient and most perfumers fail at making pleasant fragrances with it. I HIGHLY recommend to serious collectors of classic and legendary fragrances or to those studying the art. Homme Le Parfum is a sophisticated scent that smells like royalty or even old money I might say but it's very modern and age-versatile. The honey + cinnamon combo comes across a little animalic but I actually like it, probably because it’s so sweet and synthetic it never smells “real” enough to actually be dirty. The iconic pink fragrance seems to be an artifact from a bygone era — a luxury in the eyes of our parents' generation.
