Description

It doesn't support low framerate compensation, so you'll see tearing if your game's frame rate drops below 48Hz. It delivers impressively accurate performance while watching SDR content and the Dolby Vision images are precisely rendered despite the panel’s inherent weaknesses. It has a mediocre contrast ratio, sub-par black uniformity, and no local dimming feature, so blacks look gray and patchy in a dark room.

is supported, but you have to force it either through a custom resolution on a PC or by manually setting the resolution on some game consoles. As such, it's best suited for gamers who prefer the 'Graphics' preset in their games and not competitive gamers who prefer 'Performance' presets with higher frame rates. It has very low input lag, ensuring a smooth desktop experience, but it has just an okay response time, so there's noticeable blur behind fast-moving objects.

The TV ships in Standard mode for SDR, which like most out-of-the-box settings is woefully inaccurate compared to the industry standards. Sports Mode When a sports signal is detected, it switches to Sports Mode for an immersive live stadium experience, from picture to sound. The Hisense has a much wider viewing angle, so it’s the better choice for watching TV in a group setting. The direct-lit VA panel delivers decent contrast and screen uniformity, despite the lack of local dimming, but its optimal viewing angles are narrow. Remember, the bigger you go, the worse the picture will look, as Full HD really pales in comparison to 4K.

The 'HDR Standard' Picture Mode with the 'Medium' Color Temperature is a bit brighter, reaching a peak of 311 cd/m² with a 50% window, but it's not a noticeable difference. Dark scenes are over-brightened, and everything above about 30 cd/m² is way too dark, as the TV rolls the peak brightness off to try and preserve details. As you would expect from a modern TV, the slim chassis precludes the use of larger speakers, and the amplification is clearly limited. The A6H does have a wider viewing angle, so if you regularly watch content in a group setting, it’s a better option for that.

Don't confuse it with the standard E7K, which has a lower screen refresh rate (60Hz, compared to the Pro's 120Hz), no built-in subwoofer and an older version of Hisense's VIDAA operating system. Though there are commonalities between the lines, like smart functionality, voice control, VESA mounting, and HDMI ARC, the more expensive lines support HDR, 4K, different audio technologies, and even different display technologies outside of LED. Hisense appears to be choosing different panels for different screen sizes, with the 50-inch model reviewed here using a VA panel. Those short of space – or looking for a second set for a bedroom or kitchen – can opt for the 43-inch mode, while those with the means can go big with the 85-incher. VIDAA U5 An easy, smart and intuitive OS, simply access to rich contents and global applications (Youtube, Netflix and Freeview Play etc.The TV can't take full advantage of the Xbox Series S|X consoles due to its limited 60Hz refresh rate and lack of HDMI 2. It has low input lag and support for HDMI Forum variable refresh rate technology, ensuring a responsive, nearly tear-free gaming experience. This kind of TV is about what you’d expect from a budget 4K TV launched in 2023 – you get 4K resolution, HDR support, DTS Virtual:X, and even HDMI eARC on top of familiar smart TV functionality. Europe's busiest forums, with independent news and expert reviews, for TVs, Home Cinema, Hi-Fi, Movies, Gaming, Tech and more. Unfortunately, the Hisense A65H TV is very difficult to calibrate, and there's little benefit to it as the TV's accuracy is excellent pre-calibration, and calibration barely improves on it.
