I find its fragrance to be better than Cool waters which is more oceanic while this is bit more green. One is mint, which I think fuels some of the Cool Water comparisons and the other is pine, which makes it feel more related to the original Quorum. As it dried down it goes to a weirdly dark place for a warm weather frag because of the oakmoss an’ leather, which gives it a bit more of a hairy-chestedness than a lot of the stuff it’d be shelved next to. Q. has a light sprinkling of pine needles and precious woods, with the greener notes sparkling through the breezy top accord of lavender, grapefruit, and freesia, and the "blond woods" in the base yielding a transparent cedar note, presaging Quorum Silver, to come eleven years after. Usually it's not something super artistic or deep, but something that drags out old memories that we didn't even remember we had. The mint-lavender combination really stands out and shines, making it clear this fragrance is more green than blue.
