About this deal

port to connect to all 4 drives and the transfer speed will be limited to what the CPU can handle too. It’s unreasonably loud and having it on all the time will quickly turn your office peace into annoyance. I read a lot today in the How To's and the FAQ for the Nextcloud installation and i also tried the first installation but i failed.

I've enjoyed all the Argon 40 cases I've tried, though, and I've a one-slot NAS in an Argon One for Raspberry Pi 4 as my remote backup server. Effectively the same drives, though the Helios64 ones are newer and what was a WD Red is now a WD Red Plus, in the same room, at the same 20-degree ambient temperature: 9-11 degrees cooler across the board. But with space for up to four SSDs, USB booting, excellent cooling and support for the Raspberry Pi 4 we have an excellent, if expensive case.

While you could wake up your PC from a mobile directly, having a dedicated server capable of doing so is the best solution. some time ago I needed a quick solution to mount some older hard disks and share them (smb/ftp) on my network.

Whilst Argon have rated the enclosure at 10TB per slot, 18TB drives have been used and tested by the Argon team - however we assume the more reserved 10TB per slot limit is to allow headroom to account for the vast range of different disks with different power consumption ratings in existence. However we'll be updating all the Argon Cases for the Raspberry Pi 5 to maximize all the new features of the RPi5. Setting debug = Y in the General section enables debug tracking of the fan settings in the file /var/log/argoneon.

I'm actually writing this up for Hackster right now, and spotted something I missed the first read-through: it's a four bay NAS, true enough. A fan provides cooling for the entire unit, and the top-mounted power switch is a small OLED screen that can be customised to display anything, such as IP address or CPU temperature.Isn't it recomended or is there just no guide because there is already a guide for a different nextcloud docker solution (unfortunately without office included)?

I run Home Assistant and a few other apps in containers on the EON via Docker and Portainer within OMV. No boring black box here – instead we appear to have a pyramidical version of the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Experts in the field will have no problem getting it done, but troubleshooting NAS issues can be a pain, especially if you are doing things for the first time.Having RTC is nice, especially if your NAS is completely isolated from the internet after deployment. Hidden under the plastic is an I2C OLED screen which, when setup, displays pertinent data such as CPU use, IP address, temperatures and storage levels.
