She wasn't afraid to ask for what she wanted and she was very straightforward which ended up being pretty funny. I'm hoping we see more of these two in Beautiful Beginning, at Bennett and Chloe's wedding, and I think we should, based on Player's ending. Beautiful Player is the third book in the Beautiful Bastard series and the first one I have read by Christina Lauren.

Christina and Lauren (who make up the pen name Christina Lauren) are on to a new series, which will be coming out soon. I found myself having to take a few breaks to fan myself because these scenes were making me feel very much overheated! Hanna is maybe the most inexperienced out of the Beautiful Bastard women (Chloe and Sara, from the other books), which made Beautiful Player interesting. If anything, that should give you an inkling to the amount of sexual tension between the two main characters.I love that the chapters are written from either Will or Hannah's perspective, although I would prefer it if these types of narration were recorded with the men speaking all the male character's dialogue and the women speaking all the female character's dialogue. He was patient with her, and even when her extremely frank comments would come out, he'd let her express herself.

However, she and Will did not expect the chemistry that simmered the moment they saw each other again after years and keeping up a platonic relationship is almost too impossible.I loved the bantering, the dialogues between our leads, and the genuine conversation they would have when they get to know each other.

They share a passionate moment, but Hanna assumes Will wants to keep things casual just as he does with his other lovers, Kitty and Kristy, and she accepts a date from a fellow PhD student named Dylan. And of course, the rest of the Beautiful Bastard Gang was there to watch Will finally fall head-over-heels for a girl. I love character-driven stories, but the stakes in this felt very low because it was just them going running, going to work, going to the bar, then going home, and that was about it for most of the story. Summary: When Hanna's older brother tells her to contact his friend Will Sumner to get her out of the house and lab he accidentally sets the scene for Will Sumner and his sister to finally find love.

While I wasn't counting, I'll bet there was probably five hours of sex in this book, which was way past my personal taste. PERFORMANCE - The book alternated between a deep, sexy male voice reading Will's perspective and a young woman reading Hanna's.

When Hanna shows up to run, Will is shocked by how much little Ziggy has grown up, and filled out in all the right places.

They begin to forge a friendship in their own right and you can see the shift in their relationship happen as Will begins more and more to think of her as Hanna and less as Jensen’s little sister Ziggy. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?
