This book is like an emotional vortex, it sucks you in, drowns you in emotions and feels and doesn’t let you free until the end. So, when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall hard for Keller Banks. The author, whose experiences mirror the character’s, honestly acknowledges the physical and emotional difficulties of the family’s situation while still leaving room for joy and avoids evoking feelings of pity by granting full agency to the sympathetic lead. I read and read and read and was so baffled by my boredom and unlove for this that I stopped and read the reviews more closely.Leaving her closest friend Gus behind, Kate heads off to college and meets the guy she never expects to meet. It’s about the man she doesn’t want to fall in love with, but soon realizes that saying no to Keller Banks is like saying no to the sun. I don’t even know how yet, but like I said, you don’t read a phenomenal book like Bright Side without it changing you a little. I love reading and I have read a lot of books this year so far saying that no insults to anyone here but this has been my FAVOURITE Read of the year so far this book is a book of life and living, friendship LOVE all in one.
