Drawn to this book after hearing a podcast by the author who happened to be in the same regiment as my father in the forces. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Rich was released and has continued his support for veterans, he liaises with police forces, military charities and appears at public speaking events to share his fascinating story and support veterans and serving personnel that may be struggling, he has successfully turned his life around and continues to do so. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). On leaving the army, he became heavily involved in organised crime, until receiving a 15 year jail sentence. It show good humour and unabashed bravado the author uses to describe this type of life style life and the sheer scale of drug deals and the effect this has not only on the characters but those who are unaware of the lifestyles of those involved.his exploits throughout Europe, the life-threatening entanglements with thugs from all over the world, and finally to his eventual capture ending with a 15-year prison sentence. Rich left the army in 1995 and as a part of his exit strategy he was trained by special forces to become a close protection officer(Bodyguard) and surveillance operative. We follow Jones, aka 'The Lost Soldier', as he desperately tries to free himself from the poisonous lifestyle that becomes his new reality. A gripping read that grabs you right away and keeps you enthralled throughout every of the 186 pages. Rich’s transition out of the army was going wrong and he gradually moved away from the security industry and begin to apply the same skills set and training to his new life, distributing drugs. Rich was considered as the one at the top of his respective tree and after a lengthy trial involving a large number of defendants he was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years, half of which would be spent in prison the other half would be in the community. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. But if you want a book that tells a full story and comes to a natural conclusion then you will be disappointed.

In 1990 Rich and his unit were deployed to Northern Ireland, where he spent six months patrolling the hostile streets and countryside of south Armagh also known as “The Bandit Country”. We follow Jones as he desperately tries to free himself from the poisonous lifestyle that becomes his new reality. He applied himself with such enthusiasm that the prison identified that there is a problem for veterans and permitted Rich to deliver his course to veterans while still in prison, with no staff present.I met Rich through voluntary work at HMP Oakwood and was interested to read the book to find out more about what had led him there.

Rich gained immediate employment as a surveillance operative working with Ex, forces, special forces and police. During his time away Rich made a conscious decision to reform himself and he decided to engage with the veteran support that is common in the prison system.

Rich left this life behind him and is now an author and a veterans support speaker, teacher, mentor and course creator. It's not a badly written book some parts I skipped personally as they felt like a waste of time, yes I understand your ex forces and your paranoid because your dealing drugs don't want the family to find out ect but this is repeated over and over the mental health part was well written especially as men's mental health can be over looked the book is left on to be continued I will most likely read the next book as I'm some what invested in this autobiography and how it ends. But he felt that his story needs to be heard as too many veterans are at risk of making the same mistakes he did.
