Part of the appeal of a fantasy game is that you have varied unit types with a wide range of abilities and Dragon Rampant doesn’t deliver that. The two armies of Orcs set up opposite to each other in the middle of the table and had a distinct advantage in capturing the civilians. All my other troops (except the a fore mentioned fire daemons) could walk through the blood pools, albeit being difficult terrain. the number of minis are hard to say as it all depends on what kind of warband you are planing to filed.

Dragon Rampant's a great game - not hugely tactical, but probably about as tactical as the size of skirmishes it simulates could actually be.
