In 1999, a lot of young rock bands were reckoning with electronic, sample-based music by simply throwing elements of it in over the top of their guitars, bass, and drums. Their albums are as fresh now as the day they were released, and live they are one of the best around. Bring It On" and "We Haven't Turned Around" were included on the band's second compilation album, Five Men in a Hut: A's, B's and Rarities 1998–2004 (2004).

The reaction in venues to the band’s revisiting of their 1999-released second album Liquid Skin has certainly been joy-filled.Bring It On’s surprising, prize-receiving success (to a certain extent) was the product of savvy counterprogramming.

PopMatters editor Sarah Zupko wrote that band had "picked up a few new studio tricks or two and rounded out their sound with fuller textures and better-produced mixes".The live tracks are also well worth the additional few quid to upgrade to this reissue, providing generous value for money. So, I'm unsure if it was the band's unexpected Mercury Prize win the year prior, the airplay it received on triple j, word of mouth, or just a great promo campaign.

There were a lot of big, brilliant records in the late-90s, but the truth is that we were very much living in a post- OK Computer world. The crunch of electric guitar scattered throughout the background of the track provides a deep contrast with the more melodic tones of the acoustic guitar that’s placed at the forefront of the track.Stand out tracks include "We Haven't Turned Around" which is on the American Beauty Soundtrack, "Rhythm and Blues Alibi", "Hangover Girl" and definitely "Devil Will Ride". There will be an accompanying remastered double LP release on black 180g vinyl and a limited D2C transparent edition too.
