Description

Hero Factory was a LEGO theme was based on a group of robotic heroes who protected the galaxy from various threats and was released in 2010 and discontinued in 2014. Witch abuses the beast and controls his mind with his Skull Staff and the corrupted Quaza spike implanted onto the Raw-Jaw's back.

Here, Heroes are built in the Hero Factory and sent on missions around the universe, dealing with a variety of galactic problems such as alien infestations, natural disasters, and criminals. The pieces in this series are not the regular Lego bricks; they include a lot of ball and joint connections which allow for plenty of movement and posability once the figures are built. Furno is made commander for the mission, and directs numerous teams in an attempt to defeat the brains. At Stormer's creation, Makuro felt he was going to be a special Hero, and was correct as Stormer became leader of the Alpha 1 team. Many villains escape and head to various locations in the galaxy (the ringleader Black Phantom remaining in the Hero Factory itself) forcing the Alpha 1 team, armed with Hero-Cuffs, to split up and track down some of the escapees. The Heroes head back to the Hero Factory, unaware of a Jumper cocoon hidden away in the loading deck of the Hero Craft. The villains' Meteor Blasters use the same elements as BIONICLE Thornax Launchers, except for the ammunition.

In the second half of 2011, the Alpha 1 Team is upgraded once more, in the hopes that their new forms will aid them in their mission on the planet Quatros. A black hole opens in the sky, and Furno and Stormer jump in to combat the villain they now know to be pulling the strings - the villain Von Nebula, a rogue rookie Hero known formally as Von Ness. In the city of Antropolis, a Metro Line drill project revealed strange creatures from within the planet that abduct the crew.

Sets in the Hero Factory line, while simpler than previous BIONICLE ones, utilize similar pieces and styles to BIONICLE. The Heroes then travel to a remote planet to acquire an antidote, while Furno finds Stormer and duels him. Furno makes Stormer realize his actions are wrong by comparing him to a rookie that went rogue, Von Ness, and Stormer shuts down. Preston Stormer is the no-nonsense leader of Alpha 1, plagued by his failure in a past mission, and demanding in his expectations of all team members. In the fourth wave, Breakout, every set came with a new type of Hero Core (even the villains) which came printed with a code on the back for use with the new online game.

Von Nebula is an evil mastermind who mastered the manipulation of black holes through a technological staff he developed.Although he has dealt with this fear directly over the course of his Hero career, Surge still deals with the insecurity, and often throws himself into action to compensate. Those with less than 40 pieces are the cheapest toys in the range, though there are figures and sets with up to 450 pieces to be built. The colour scheme of the heroes and villains (red, blue, white, black, green, brown) was not continued in the Hero Factory theme, instead, colours like silver, gold, orange, and yellow were reintroduced.

When Rocka is reported missing, the Alpha 1 Team is equipped with animal-based equipment and sent to find him. Since it was the successor to the original BIONICLE, the first wave of sets had a label that read “From the makers of BIONICLE” printed on the bottom corner of their boxes, just as the first BIONICLE sets had the TECHNIC logo on them. The Heroes, with the information given by Zib back at Mission Control, conclude that the excessive mining of the Quaza has made the planet unstable, destroying it from its core.Like his fellow rookie teammates, he was built with experimental designs, but resented the constant examination this required. While all of the heroes are distracted by the escapes, Black Phantom stays behind to destroy the Hero Factory assembly tower. After two of their own were kidnapped, the remaining Heroes traveled deep underground to rescue them. Two of the sets, Breez and Thornraxx, received a limited release in Europe, with a wider release as an addition to the summer line in the United States and elsewhere.
