I hope that I somehow picked up a bad bottle because I cannot understand why this smells so terrible. the fruitiness felt sweeter and it settled down to a very sophisticated, delicate and feminine smell. I don’t understand the low ratings, if anything this is my favorite perfume out of all 300 perfumes I have. Top notes are Watermelon and Strawberry; middle notes are Pink Peony, Magnolia, Damask Rose and Cyclamen; base notes are Musk, Woody Notes, Sandalwood and Smoke. I would say that this is ideally for girls ages 16-26 but of course anyone can and should try giving this one a sniff because it just lifts up the spirit.
Not necessarily a bad scent in itself, in fact I chose my floor cleaner brand because it smells great, but I don't really want spend bucks to smell the same with my house floors. It's very intense of fruits in the beginning, A mix of kiwi, plus the sourness of rhubarb and the flower notes. For fragrance pairings, Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy and Mugler Aura EDP have made beautiful bases for L'Imperatrice. The fragrance opens with an explosive cocktail of succulent fruity – juicy notes of kiwi mingle with tart redcurrant and rhubarb, which bring balance to I like this perfume on the hottest summer days sometimes but something about the tartness makes it a bit annoying to smell for me after awhile.
It’s not my vibe at all, but if you are someone whose favorite activity is going to expensive dinners next to the beach then this one will work great.

I like this, I know a lot of other people LOVE it, and I get the appeal; I like it on others better than myself. If this were a painting, this would be an impressionistic take on a photo-realistic bowl of fruit - (the fruit smell is THAT crisp and delicious). The smell of L'imperatrice transports me to the streets of Crete and Santorini lined with it's white and blue houses and pink flowers growing along the walls. This smells like a gourmet fruit salad, the kind where the chef understands the culinary pallete in the same way that a watercolorist understands the differences between transparent and opaque watercolors, staining vs non-staining pigments, and understands the importance of using acid free matting to frame your paintings.I wouldn't mind walking past someone wearing this, but if I was stuck sitting next to them on a plane I would wind up with a migraine and possibly vomiting. On paper, I picked up a strong grapefruit note which I really liked but isn't actually listed as a note.
It pretty much stays like this for me for about 2-3 hours; I don’t really get to the base notes at all. I quite like it because it doesn’t take away from the juicy fruity opening but it kinda tames it so it’s not an overpowering basic light scent. The sweetness is not cloying at all it's just sweet enough for my liking ( I like ultra sweet ) but the sweetness this brings is just right for any palette. Top notes are Kiwi, Rhuburb and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Watermelon, Cyclamen and Jasmine; base notes are Lemon Tree, Musk and Sandalwood. it's okay although I was expecting more, it's somewhat cloying and everyone around me hates sniffing it up close.If at any time you would like to opt out from marketing, you can visit the Privacy Preferences page and select the relevant options. It's longetivity is stndard for an EDT, it lasts about an hour or so which is a shame as I reallu like it. I get compliments wearing this in cooler weather, but in the hot humidity of summer it can develop a musty ‘armpit’ note underneath all the juicy fruitiness (I’m certain that it’s the rhubarb and musk combo that’s the culprit).
