To me, it’s almost a privilege to be welcomed into these communities and to shine a light on them and, maybe, through my enthusiasm, to get people to reveal more of themselves than they may have intended. In an interview in 2015, Theroux expressed his intention to produce a follow-up documentary about Savile for the BBC to explore how the late entertainer had continued his abuse for so long, to meet people he knew closely, and examine his own reflections on his inability to dig more deeply into the first case. He also wrote that the original diary was “150,000 words or more,” but he condensed it and “shaped it” so the manuscript is at around “80,000 or so” words. Our Non-Fiction Range includes: Academic, Photography, Audio books, Business, Cook Books, Craft Books, Health and Fitness Books, Mind, Body, Spirit (Tarot).

The festive holidays are the perfect time to escape the cold, cosy up with a hot drink and lose yourself in a new book.

Theroux's first employment as a journalist was in the United States with Metro Silicon Valley, an alternative free weekly newspaper in San Jose, California.

Nervously accepting the BBC’s offer of his own series, he went on to create an award-winning documentary style that has seen him immersed in the weird worlds of paranoid US militias and secretive pro-wrestlers, get under the skin of celebrities like Max Clifford and Chris Eubank and tackle gang culture in San Quentin prison, all the time wondering whether the same qualities that make him good at documentaries might also make him bad at life. Theroux accompanied a different British celebrity in each programme in their daily lives, interviewing them as they go. In Gotta Get Theroux This , Louis takes the reader on a joyous journey from his anxiety-prone childhood to his unexpectedly successful career. His second book, Gotta Get Theroux This, was released in 2020 and is a funny, heartfelt and entertaining account of his life and strange times in TV. And is full of back stories, insight, self-reflection, regret and brooding self-doubt that we all find relatable.I found some of the stories more interesting than others - for example LT seem to think that the preparation for the Scientology film was much more fascinating than I did, although I enjoyed the actual film tremendously. I love the way that he is so real and also incredibly brave considering some of the situation s that he goes into.
