About this deal

Colin’s father wants him to take over the family law firm but Colin doesn’t want to do it – he loves his job in finance. He thinks she is flighty and flaky and he loves teasing/making fun of her because she is his best-friend’s younger sister.

I didn’t completely understand the lying, I mean you know it’s going to go wrong, but she grew a lot in this book. Alone in apartment, while wallowing in self-pity and heartbreak, she recieves a text “ What are you wearing? From the start, Colin sees Olivia as his best friend’s annoying younger sister, so it was fun to see his perspective change as he got to know her as Miss Misdial and see her wit, insults and perception of life in a new light. This book honestly, I can’t think of what to say right now without spoilers, but this is definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. Wrong Number helps keep her in good spirits as she navigates a new job, her new living situation, and the tension between her and Colin.

The sequel to It Ends With Us (2016) shows the aftermath of domestic violence through the eyes of a single mother.

I tossed the phone on top of the desk and squinted as the living room's natural light assaulted my eyeballs. Olivia was a hot mess but she had a joie de vivre that was hard to resist and even staid and studly Colin couldn’t help but see it. I work with the publisher frequently (not on this book), but this in no way alters my review and I remain impartial. Their sparks and chemistry were evident in both via the texts and in real life, and their story had me smiling almost continuously, from beginning to end. If you’re in the mood for a laugh-out-loud, sexy rom-com about an unlucky young woman who moves in with her brother (and her brother’s hot roommate) while she attempts to get her life together — look no further. He had plenty opportunity to make things clear and laugh at it but he didn’t and then another mistake with the set up. When Olivia receives a suggestive text from an unknown number, she quickly sets the sender straight—but their immediate witty rapport means neither wants to stop texting. But this book isn’t just about a Phoenix rising from the ashes—it’s also has a fake dating romance that I think readers will enjoy. Since the lady looked perplexed and confused and in a hurry there wasn't much of a conversation taking place even though Venugopal tries hard. I was nervous that Olivia’s character would change; I didn’t want to see her become a more serious, shall I say “grown-up” kind of character.
