Sensor tracking on Otsu is as superb and no harsh feeling when fast swiping, even when most of arm lays on top of pad. The backing for me only works really well when the static is there or when there is moisture after cleaning. I did separate 'over views' but thought it would be nice to see both in one place to show the transition from Hien to Otsu which also compliments Otsu in what I found. I spilt bong juice on it the other day I immediately started rinsing it with warm water and scrubbing it with a nailbrush it's quite soft and i use it usually to remove any dust.

Mine is the soft version and it does the same thing, so it's probably common to all their 'fancy' backing.Starting with bottom of pad upon turning it over its made of high quality, dense soft rubber that's evenly cut and is consistent across the entire foundation.

The Artisan Hayate Otsu Soft offers medium control and speed and I thought it would be a good entry into Artisans line of mousepads.

From the point of laying it down, feeling the texture, quality of rubber base, sensor response and over all using it. There is no doubt that the ARTISAN mouse pad is of the highest quality in the world in terms of the two sensations of "stopping" and "sliding", which are inseparable for players. It's an expensive pad but some might find it subjectively worth it because this pad in terms of sensor tracking was superb!
