About this deal

And if you want to enjoy a cup of delicious coffee in the afternoon rather than early in the morning, there’s the Brew-On-Demand option too! Designed to result in the best coffee possible, the two-layered mesh filter lets more coffee oils through, creating a full-bodied beverage with no grittiness or sediment at the bottom of the cup. Joy Resolve is an award-winning lifestyle and homeware brand on a mission to bring joy and create timeless products that challenge conventions of technology, design and experience. When making a cup of coffee, The Barisieur Coffee Alarm Clock subtly awakes the user through the stainless steel ball bearings that boil water through induction heating, resulting in the heavenly smell of a fresh cup of coffee.

The up was meeting Richard Branson and pitching our product to him - it was a very proud moment that we will never forget. Power-Outage Resistant: The Barisieur has a small built-in battery to keep the alarm active in the case of a power outage.

Hate the quality of the coffee it makes, hate the serving size of 5 ounces/ 150 ML, hate the stuck drawer (dumb little spoon thing is lodged and prevents drawer from opening), hate having to wash 5 tiny, fragile glass pieces every night to make this terrible, tiny cup of mediocre coffee every morning. However, I think the design speaks for itself, and you can see that a lot of time and effort has gone into create the chic alarm clock.

The down was that the Barisieur nearly didn't make it to market and there were a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get it to market. We love to hear about the lows when meeting other start-ups as we feel like this really shapes people and the business to adapt and overcome obstacles. For a very long time, however, the Barisieur Coffee Alarm Clock looked like it was going to be nothing more than a dream – one of those exciting ideas that never make it past its Kickstarter target. You can also have The Barisieur ™ wake you up 5 minutes before the alarm by activating the 'brew delay' button on the side. While some merchants only require certain fields of information to match, our site requires that they all match.

The coffee alarm clock was initially created by Joshua Renouf, a Product Design Graduate from Nottingham Trent University, for his final project. I decided to set the device up to brew me a coffee as the alarm went off, but actually found that it took around five minutes for the coffee to be ready. To use the device, users simply set their alarm as normal, and decide whether they’d like their coffee to be ready five minutes before the alarm, as the alarm goes off, or up to 15 minutes after the alarm sounds. That was the way it was looking until Joshua arranged a meeting with Richard Branson and the success of the meeting propelled the project over the Kickstarter line. However, we want to make sure that we give back more than we take from the precious resources of mother nature. As someone who relies on coffee to get me through the morning, the idea of a coffee-making alarm clock is pretty dreamy.
