Description

The qualification meets the Department for Education’s (DfE) Level 3 full and relevant criteria for a Level 3 Early Years Educator. Enrolment paperwork finalised – an Alliance Training Advisor will schedule a Microsoft Teams video meeting with you to review enrolment details and check your identification (please bring photo id to this meeting). This qualification is suitable for those either working or volunteering in early years education and care. You will need to have a placement in an early years setting in mainland England with support from a workplace mentor.

The course covers the health and wellbeing of children and their learning, play, and development to prepare them for school. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records. Sometimes the way the assignments are worded can leave you scratching your head but each unit is explained and laid out perfectly so that you can read through and organise your thoughts before delving into the detailed part of writing your essays. Become a fully qualified early years educator/practitioner, also known as a nursery nurse, ready to enter the workplace. If you need to study maths and English alongside this course, packages are available to study with OSC to allow you to study and achieve the required qualifications alongside this course. Learners aged 16-19 (and learners aged 19-24 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities) funded by the Education Funding Agency will not require GCSE English and maths grade A* - C prior to commencing their Early Years Educator qualification. It enables learners to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

At points throughout the programme, your assessor will visit your workplace or placement to complete observations and assessment of your practice. Learners must achieve 23 mandatory units, equating to 61 credits, which include observational studies and competence in a real work environment. From 3 April 2017, the requirement for Level 3 Early Years Educators (EYE) to hold GCSE English and maths A*-C, will be broadened to Level 2 qualifications, including Functional Skills. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines. Once you have successfully completed your assignments and workplace observations, you will receive your NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator). You will study this course by distance learning, which will enable you to take control of your studies. NCFE CACHE Alumni is a professional membership network for those who work in the care, health, and education industries, providing valuable resources and advice for your studies when working towards/with a NCFE CACHE qualification.
