About this deal

I was a little worried I wouldn't love the romance aspect of this book, but I truly loved Bree and Eason together. Leaning on each other while they grieve will hopefully give their children a stable family home as they adjust to life without their loved ones. Which I understand is realistic of a parent, but as a reader, not really a driving force to make you really want to continue a book if I’m being honest with you. After all, you can’t fathom how anyone else could adequately understand the misery you’re going through.

The first pages were explosive and heart-hurting, ripping apart two families in one moment of tragedy. I have to add that I hated that bitch Jessica right from the beginning, so self-centered and selfish. I went in with a certain expectation, and then the "big reveal" just sapped all the angst//tension//interest from the story.Los dos devastados por la tragedia deciden vivir juntos para ayudarse mutuamente porque él se ha quedado sin casa con una hija de meses y ella con sus dos hijos chicos y una empresa en crisis que atender. The build in intimacy was incredible, feeling rich and fully developed – even in a book that isn’t particularly long. I think the best part of this book was their relationship development and the way that they formed a family together after the devastating deaths of their spouses. On the other hand, Rob and Bree are financially stable, own their own business, have two children, get along well, and have a pretty healthy romantic life.

Everything changes one tragic night and believe me, when it happened I was like WT actual F and I went back to re-read it 3 times to be sure I hadn’t misread anything. Though if I’m being honest I couldn’t have gone with a bit more tension between the lead characters. They are an amazing couple together and their love is something they build and not an insta-love kind of thing. I liked It a lot and i didnt feel they were second bests and the author was pretty fair during the explosion showing his guilt because he saved the heroine not his wife and the heroine anger because he survived and her husband was dead. Why not just let them move on from the tragedy and grow close and fall in love without the extra to make it seem less forbidden or more okay? Eason thinks Bree is a judgmental ice queen, while Bree believes Eason is a musician who needs to let go of his dream and step up for his family. It’s possible that going in with lower expectations helped because several of my goodreads friends didn’t have the best opinions of this book.
