Description

It works with any Logitech Unifying Receiver, and I can connect it with the already plugged M950 receiver via Solaar. There is no longer a travel pouch included, which would be nice for something that needs to get chucked in a bag.

The small unifying receiver is great, but on a device like a Surface Pro 3, which has just a single USB port, occupying that port with a mouse seems a bit wasteful. Most people would throw the product right away, but as a tinkerer I rarely throw anything away before I attempt to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.

As small as the receiver is, it does of course stick out of the side of the port, where as Bluetooth does not. I’ve also tried (destroyed) a few Razer mice, a Roccat, Steelseries and such, but always keep coming back to the reliable good ol’ Logitech for daily and work use especially. A micro USB port on the front serves as the charging port (a micro-USB-to-USB cable is included), and an indicator light beneath the square button notifies you if the battery runs low.

The Anywhere 2S is designed to be a compact travel companion first and foremost—the entire mouse fits in the palm of my hand. It is not required, and if you don’t install it you just can’t customize the buttons, but Logitech has added enough here to make it worthwhile to install.Dual wireless connectionConnect to Windows® and Mac® via our smallest-ever Pico Unifying™ receiver or via Bluetooth® Smart wireless technology. There's a relatively steep upward curve from the front of the mouse to the middle of the palm rest, which adds support that helps mitigate the small size.

Of course I could and will just use Bluetooth for now, because then I won’t have to plug / unplug the receiver all the time or even keep with me… But I’m not sure if I want to keep Bluetooth always on on my laptop especially when I’m out and about. He covers the gamut of gadgets and is a notable reviewer of mobile accessories and portable audio products, including headphones and speakers. Like the MX Master, this mouse can connect to your Windows or Mac computer with the included Pico Unifying Receiver (a small USB dongle that will also work with Logitech keyboards) or via Bluetooth Smart technology. The idea behind the removal of the storage slot is that the receiver has become so small that you should leave it at one of your workstation. The new mouse can now be paired with up to three devices, and by Bluetooth or an included Logitech unified receiver.Trackpads on notebooks have come along way, but for power users who are constantly traveling, there's no replacement for a trusty mouse. As anticipated from past experience with the brand, a Logitech product is well made, easy to use and effortlessly functional. Logitech’s MX Anywhere 2 mouse delivers everything the discerning user would expect from a desktop mouse and packs into a small, easy-to-use, easy-to-carry device.
