The Smart 6’s brush head holder is a moulded piece of plastic that clips around the charging stand and offers up 2 prongs. The brush heads then sit on these. It keeps them upright and they do not touch, but they are not covered like they are with the compartment with the 9000, which can accommodate up to 4 brush heads. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable. BUT, one of the biggest flaws of the Smart 5 is the fact that you can’t easily tell what cleaning mode you are using. The Genius resolves this issue to a point with a series of icons that illuminate on the handle when the selected mode is in operation. It weighs in at 130g with toothbrush head so it is quite light and definitely will not take up too much of your luggage space. The size including brush head is 23 cm x 2.5cm x 3cm. 5) Value For Money

Changing the brush heads is very easy, which is handy if other family members share the same handle and just swap on their own cleaning heads as needed. On the rear of the Pro 2 2000 brush handle, just below where the brush head attaches, is a red plastic panel. This is the visible pressure sensor. More details on this shortly, but know that the 1000 does not have it. This is because (if you were not already aware) it is very common for electric toothbrushes, particularly Oral-B models, to sell at around 50% less than retail price. The benefit of doing away with the large rubber grip is that the Pro 3 is easier to keep clean. Toothpaste residue doesn’t build up on the handle in quite the same way as the 2500.

The new magnetic driven motor is quieter and the way it works produces a cleaning sensation that is similar, but different.

The Oral-B Pro 3000 have these two cleaning modes and an additional one which is sensitive. Although cleaning modes are in the most part irrelevant, the sensitive mode works by reducing the power of the electric toothbrush from 8,800 oscillations and 40,000 pulsations down to 6,500 oscillations and 30,000 pulsations. This can be particularly useful for people with sensitive teeth especially when used in conjunction with the sensitive brush head. The Oral-B Pro 3000 also comes with another extra brush head which is a nice addition. Both offer a 3D cleaning action via the small round brush head, but the Pro 1000 only offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations per minute, compared to the 9,900 and 45,000 of the Pro 2 2000. Whilst the difference exist the impact on your brushing and cleaning results are limited.Another slight difference is the brush head that comes provided. Both models will come supplied with 1 brush head as standard. oscillating rotating is a very effective way of cleaning your teeth and has consistently outperformed the Sonic and manual toothbrushing in research studies done by Cochrane. Brush Head This isn’t to say those features aren’t useful for some people. But, we have learnt that most people would rather save a bit of money, than have lots of features they may not use, making the Pro 3 3500 a perfect fit.
