Breathless is a funny, honest and stylish exploration of the knife-edge of hoarding, from the joy, to the addiction and suffocating shame. Based on her own experience, Horton’s beautiful script weaves Sophie’s building obsession and life story with the burgeoning love with Jo, whose wardrobe consists of an old school tie, three pairs of shoes (and one on we assume) and the bare minimum of clothing on one short rail. Working with Pleasance Theatre Trust offers us such a vital opportunity to support artists from the far South West. The Fringe Firsts have been recognising outstanding new writing premiered at the festival since 1973 - here are our first winners of 2022.

Hitting the Edinburgh Fringe this August (3rd-29th August, excluding 10th and 17th), Laura Horton's new show, Breathless , discusses hoarding in an honest yet engaging account of her personal experiences on the subject.
