This is not an earth-shattering story...but it does give us a love that is earth-shattering for our Grace and Logan...and in the end...isn't what we all want? The Mistake simply doesn’t disappoint. Logan’s story is as engaging, thrilling and sexy as Garrett’s. I am sure that every person who has read and enjoyed The Deal, will love and cherish next part of Off – Campus Series. Grace’s dad greets Logan and comforts him because Logan has a bit of a breakdown over his home situation. To be honest, it’s probably better if I don’t talk. Cute guys make me nervous. Like tongued-tied total-brain-malfunction nervous. All my filters shut off and suddenly I’m telling them about the time I peed my pants in the third grade during a field trip to the maple syrup factory, or how I’m scared of puppets and have mild OCD that could possibly drive me to tidy up your room the moment you turn your head.”

Babe, you’ve gotta stop revealing all your crazy up front. Seriously. Save all that stuff for later, when you’re in a relationship with the guy and it’s harder for him to run away.” I don’t have any.” She stops to think. “But I’ve got a whole bag of gummy bears hidden in my desk drawer.”

I loved Grace. The girl was smart and cute. She was a bit shy and timid at the beginning but once she caught her wind, she didn't take shit from a bitchy friend or Logan. And when Logan made his mistake, she stomped her feet and made him work for it, though she knew she would be giving him a chance. I am looking forward to the next fella and his story...Maybe Dean...we shall just have to wait and see. Logan’s in it to win it, and no one will stand in his way. Including Morris, Grace’s new love interest. Seconds into the 2nd Period, Logan neutralizes his rival. HE SHOOTS…

Yeah, I guess. But it makes me really tired, too. Oh, and every time I smoke it I end up thinking about this Power Point presentation my dad forced me to watch when I was thirteen. It had all these statistics about the effects of weed on your brain cells, and how, contrary to popular belief, marijuana actually is highly addictive. And after every slide he’d glare at me and say, do you want to lose your brains cells, Grace? Do you?” Matt stares at me, and in my head there’s a voice shouting Abort! But it’s too late. My internal filter has failed me once again and words keep popping out of my mouth. Grace, on the other hand, is adorable girl with a heart of gold. Maybe a bit predictable and socially awkward, but in my opinion it worked pretty well. She’s a freshman and a virgin, who doesn’t have a filter when talking to hot guys, which frankly means she blabs everything; some stories were comical! Another wonderful addition to Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series. Delivered with Elle's trademark humor and vivid characterization, The Mistake is another fantastic read for me.Logan and Grace’s relationship wasn’t easy in the beginning, but I loved that all the pesky relationship drama was over with sooner rather than later. It’s a relief not to have all that happening right at the end of the book! Logan is one of those characters that I connected to immediately. He had so much depth and was willing to sacrifice so much for family and for those that he loved. He was completely devoted and a stand up guy. There were times in the first half that Grace irked me, but overall she was a great character too. I kind of love that she didn’t give in to Logan so easily. I also loved that she was supportive of him and what he felt he needed to do with his life after college. The last time Dean Heyward-Di Laurentis was sober at a party was never. Dude drinks like a fish or gets higher than a kite every time he leaves the house, and if you think that affects his performance on the ice in any way, then think again. He’s one of those rare creatures who can party like past-day Robert Downey Jr. and somehow be as successful and revered as present-day Robert Downey Jr. Logan makes aimless passes at Grace; some connect, but none score. An opening presents itself when Grace offers up her V-card, but he misses the shot. By the time he realizes his mistake, it’s the end of the period. And Grace is gone. Over the years since she started writing, Elle’s work has not gone unnoticed, this is clearly evident from the fact that over the years since the release of her debut title, she has won several high profiled awards linked to writing and her other books earning her a fair amount of nominations for other equally prestigious awards.

The next day Grace goes to see Logan to find out what’s going on. Logan confides in her and the two make up. And I’m equally aware that I need to stop partying myself into oblivion. That I need to let go of the tiny little sliver of hope that something might happen, and simply accept that it won’t. I wrinkle my forehead. “Okay. But you are pissed about something.” When he doesn’t respond, I push a little harder. “What’s going on with you?” Grace is a freshman at the University and is the daughter of a professor. She is a virgin and it’s a big deal. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a card-carrying member of the V-Club. So what if I’m about to turn nineteen? I’m hardly an old maid, and I’m certainly not going to be tarred and feathered on the street for still having an intact hymen.I loved the story. There was no unnecessary drama, it was funny and steamy. There was not too much sex in the book but still, it will twist your panties. The STORY? I don't even know where to begin. Elle Kennedy has yet AGAIN blew me away! What an incredible addition to this ever so wonderful series. The plot was brilliant and kept me captivated through out. Let's just say this is definitely A MUST recommendation wise.
