Hotshot lawyer Jackie Lung (Jackie Chan) is hired to defend the owner of a factory which, unbeknownst to him, is the centre of a clandestine narcotics syndicate. To ensure this was the most definitive release, all the work done to the previous Blu-ray, such as the multiple versions of the film, are all included on the 4K Ultra HD disc. Regardless of which version you choose, it’s a mostly satisfying viewing experience, and it’s the best the film has ever looked on home video.

Dragons Forever is jam-packed with fights that you’ll never forget, like the final match between Jackie and Benny “The Jet” Urquidez where you can literally hear real bones breaking as they kick, punch and throw each other across an evil laboratory. The goods and services will be collected by us within 28 days of our receiving your cancellation notice and we will charge the cost of collecting the goods or services, and will deduct this from any sum owed by us to you. Kick Fighter: An Interview with Andy Cheng (38:46) – is a long-form interview with Cheng beginning with Chan being his inspiration from Police Story. KayKay on Jake Gyllenhaal goes full on Jackie Chan in the Trailer for Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’ also starring Conor McGregor Never seen the original? Those happen to be a Fish Catchery Owner and her cousin who happens to be an environmental scientist.Their line-up of films in the Asian Cinema scene includes the works of Jackie Chan (Armour of God, Dragon Lord, Miracles), Sammo Hung (Dragons Forever, Heart of Dragon), Nam Nai Choi (Erotic Ghost Story, Riki-Oh, Robotrix), Lau Kar-leung (The Eight Diagram Pole Fighter, Martial Club, Shaolin Mantis), Chen Chi-Hwa (Half a Loaf of Kung Fu, Shaolin Wooden Men, Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin), and also many individual films from John Woo, Tsui Hark, Vincent Kok, Yuen Woo-ping and more. The picture and sound have never been better and the special features package is worth every second it gives you. Vampire [1985], and Yes, Madam [1985]), the logistics of writing so many movies per year, Hung’s generosity, and writing Dragons Forever , in particular. The result is a film that works as well as a romance as it does as an action vehicle without the sort of danger and peril faced by Chan in his normal comedic entire.

It’s absolutely packed with information about the film and those who created it, also highlighting the additional scenes and offering some criticism. Also included is a set of Behind the Scenes Footage and Outtakes (an essential for a Jackie Chan film), and a Music Video in either English or Cantonese for the theme song When We Touch, sung by Anita Mui and Jackie Chan.Sammo Hung (洪金寶), born in British Hong Kong in 1952, is a well-known director and actor for a lot of films released in China and Hong Kong. Hung and Biao fling each other across the room and bicker like school children, and Jackie’s attempts to cover up their nonsense result in nonstop laughs. It has the 4K transfer that was used for this release while having all of the bells and whistles minus two interviews and a commentary track. There’s a more screwball antics here with slapstick occurring but not as much as there is the sort of upstairs-downstairs complications that occur.

For the purposes of this review, I watched the Japanese version, as the most complete version in this set. You have to wade through some unpleasant, overbearing courtship sequences to get to them, but there are some genuinely funny jokes, too – and I say this as someone who isn’t always susceptible to the ‘80s Hong Kong brand of comedy. I am leaning towards the Japanese version as it seems to have more scenes that what feature in the HK and the English version (as the English version has extra scenes also but it cuts some stuff from the HK version, whereas the JPN version has them all I think). Andrew Hernandez on Badland Hunters (2024) Review Sounds like Myung-haeng was rough around the edges.

Thai Breaker: An Interview with Billy Chow (34:11) – another long-form interview with Muy Thai champion and performer Billy Chow begins at a match with Chow. Where you have purchased the goods or services as a consumer (for private use as opposed to business use), please note that you are entitled to cancel any contract completed with us within 14 days of receipt of the goods or services. All of the special features are here including the wonderful commentary track with Mike Leeder and Arne Venema, but 88 Films has gone the extra mile and given us some new features. The trio of Hong Kong martial arts legends in Dragons Forever may have been each other’s greatest supporters in their respective careers, with Yuen Biao frequently cameoing in movies that had Jackie Chan in the lead and Sammo Hung producing movies that had Yuen Biao in the lead.

He hires Biao to place a bug in the home of the woman bringing the case, but Biao is unhinged and paranoid. They’re soon backed into a corner, forced to try and stop Hua and his men, but also win the case against them. The sound is upgraded to a Dolby Atmos track for the Hong Kong cut, but I do not have a Dolby Atmos setup so I can’t review this new track. Music Video [English] (2:55) – the same music video just an English Language version of the song that closes out the film. The Legacy of Dragons Forever offers very brief thoughts on the film by filmmakers, actors, and martial artists Troy Sandford, Chris Jones, Steve Lawson, Ross Boyask, Maria Tran, Mike Leeder, Jean-Paul Ly, Mark Strange, Mike Moeller, George Clarke, and Jude Poyer.By using this service you thereby indemnify this Company, its employees, agents and affiliates against any loss or damage, in whatever manner, howsoever caused. Lung is hired to try to dig up dirt on a fishery (how's that for patently weird specificity in an action film? It’s not overly extravagant, throwing effects and action around the soundstage as if suddenly released from the constraints of mono, but it’s a more subtle up-mix, keeping the dialogue mostly centralised, although using the surrounds when appropriate.
