This is not a negative thing, because using that wheel for navigation feels right at home, plus H2 has enough buttons for navigation to be really natural.M3X has more body to music, and a more organic / more musical midrange with more odd harmonics that end up sounding more pleasing, but H2 seems to be cleaner, although slightly more digital-ish. Surfans F20 generally sounds smoother and less energetic, and has a somewhat higher noise floor, while with H2 Touch I can’t say that I heard the noise floor at all.

The face of the DAP has one volume wheel with a play / pause / select button in the center, and one FFWD and one BCKWD button. The bass is clean, neutral, and extends well in the ~20 Hz range, but you’re not likely to hear too much from that area, as the presentation itself is dead on neutral and only EDM, Electronic and Dubstep really have a thick bottom end. g. listening on certain Android phone, where each adjustment on the volume rocker would result in far too big a jump, meaning it is either too quiet on one setting or too loud on the other. This is all new to me, and I have a fair bit of Hi-Res music but also a wariness about whether this is worth the expenditure.
